Dr. Jared William Henricksen, MD

Dr. Henricksen received his medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin, completed his Pediatric Residency at the University of Arizona in Tucson, and his Pediatric Critical Care Fellowship at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis. Dr. Henricksen is board-certified in Pediatrics and Pediatric Critical Care.

Currently he serves as an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Utah in the Division of Critical Care Medicine. As the Medical Director of the George and Esther Gross Clinical Simulation Program at Primary Children’s Medical Center, his specific goal is to improve the quality of patient care through simulation team training that incorporates training in communication and leadership.

His academic interests include using simulation to enhance educational techniques and curriculum as medical training hours are shortened and competence of training programs are mandated. Simulation training will be used to teach generations of …caregivers and Dr. Henricksen is dedicated to helping define what role simulation will play in the future of medicine.
