Dr. Jason Freedman, MD

Terrific doctor and staff I am a senior with an arm issue - excellent care from doctor and those working with him

Freedman barely listened to my symptoms or explanations of my leg pain and hematoma. Basically told me he couldn't do anything, did an ultrasound, drained a little blood, charged me a ridiculous amount for it. Would not recommend at all, I didn't learn anything I didn't already know about my injury, and he barely helped and seemed like he just wanted to get in and out of the room so he could pocket my cash. Avoid this guy. Find someone who actually gives a hoot.

Went to Dr. Freedman with knee issues after a sports injury. He diagnosed me with Patellofemoral pain syndrome aka Knee pain (gee thanks). I requested a MRI but was told I have to do 6 weeks of PT first. Finally got the MRI done and Dr. Freedman says he sees nothing and dismissed my case. I went to MGH 9 months later for the same issue. The doctor immediately upon some physical tests said I have an intermediate ACL sprain. Got a MRI scheduled the _next week_ none of this 6 weeks of PT business. The radiologist report says intermediate ACL sprain. I would not recommend Jason Freedman, he was not able to diagnose something so common as a ACL issue. Plus the 6 weeks of PT seems like a money grab.

I would say he was in the room for about 30-45 seconds for the initial visit. I've had doctors rush things along before but never like this. Told me to get an MRI. I got one and he said there was no major tear. I told him the feeling in my shoulder was really severe and I couldn't go for a walk without a lot of pain and it had been 2 months like that. He brushed that off and told me to "not lift too heavy in the gym". Again I told him I wasn't lifting at all and I couldn't even walk. I saw another doctor and he diagnosed me with impingement syndrome, bursitis, and likely a small tear in the rotator cuff. I got put into a specific physical therapy program and have been making good progress. This guy delayed my progress by probably 1-2 months all things said and done. He clearly only cares about how much money he makes. Seemed fake. Rushed me along. I would find someone else...

I was seen by a PA (who was nice and caring) when I had an appointment with Dr. Freedman. Not that he wasn't able to answer questions I was there to be evaluated by someone and without my knowledge was provided care by someone else. After the PA's evaluation Dr. Freedman came did a similar evaluation and was not very welcoming. In and out he spent 5 min. max.

Dr. Freedman' bedside manner is incredible. Very respectful, kind and compassionate. It's clear he really wants his patients to get well. I would recommend Dr. Freedman to anyone!

Dr. Freedman was amazing before and after my surgery. You can tell he cares, he is very thorough and explains everything so well. He was very prompt about getting back to me after my surgery when I had any concerns. He is truly a very kind doctor. I would recommend him to anyone who needs an ACL repair.

Dr. Freedman knew as soon as he saw me that I needed surgery. I was sent home from the hospital after my accident and told my shoulder hopefully would heal. After seeing my x-rays and my shoulder Dr. Freedman explained the need for surgery and went as for as showing my husband and I a powerpoint of the procedure I would under go. 3 days later I was wheeled into surgery where Dr. Freedman held my hand as a block was administered. (That hurt)He is an exceptional doctor with a great bedside manner, my full trust is in his hands!

Dr Freedman did NOT want to do surgery. I love him for that!
