I've been to several gastro's for my Crohn's, but none has spent any time talking to me about it. Dr. Hou was the first to really sit down and talk to me about my condition. Although I still need my medicines, I think he is taking good care of me.

This doctor has one staff member who knows what she's doing and takes the time to follow through. There is another staff member who makes me cringe as I know she's only going to say something that makes no sense whatsoever and waste my time. Dr. Hou seems competent enough, but he also gives me the feeling that I don't matter. I'm just another patient with Crohn's to him. I'm on Cimzia and tend to get infections easily secondary to Cimzia. Dr. Hou refuses to prescribe antibiotics to treat the infections (UTI's or sinus infections) that he knows for a fact are caused because I'm on Cimzia that he prescribed for me. I don't have a lot of time nor money to see two or three doctors weekly. I'm in the process of searching for a new gastroenterologist.

Waited months for treatment. Office calls were not returned for over 48 hours. No concurrence of therapy.
