Dr. Jason L Cohen has the following 2 specialties
A neurologist is a physician who diagnoses and treats disorders of the nervous system which is comprised of the brain, spinal cord and nerves. These doctors do not perform surgery, but refer patients to neurological surgeons when they determine that surgical intervention is necessary.
Some of the conditions that neurologists diagnose and treat are epilepsy, aneurysms, hydrocephalus, Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, stroke, spinal disc herniation, and spinal disease.
In addition to using diagnostic tests like MRI, CT scans, EEG and EMG, neurologists also employ neurological testing to gauge muscle strength and movement, balance, reflexes, sensation, memory, speech, and other cognitive abilities.
A psychiatrist is a doctor with specific training in the diagnosis and treatment of mental illness.<br>He or she can not only provide the counseling necessary to both diagnose and treat a patient, but can also prescribe medication when needed. In some cases, a psychiatrist will only provide the medication and the counseling will be provided by another healthcare specialist, like a certified counselor or psychologist.
Like other doctors, psychiatrists employ diagnostic tools like CT scans and MRI in order to observe the structure and function of a patient's brain.
Once a diagnosis is made, these specialists may use behavior or cognitive therapy in order to address the patient's condition, or a multitude of other types of therapy, in conjunction with or in place of medication.ttcqeayetrwczwezdueawsrsbdyr

First, I want to point out the amount of good reviews about Dr. Cohen and remind everyone of how unlikely it is that people take the time to write good reviews. Statistical, people are far more likely to write about a bad experience and that is what I am doing now. Dr. Cohen is all about the cash! PERIOD. He over charges patients and barely opens his mouth during the 45-60 minutes he demands of every single patient so he can charge the maximum amount. Red flag....he doesn’t participate with any insurance and demands a credit card number to keep on file! Really? There is a reason he doesn’t participate with insurance...he would be limited in how he charges patients and would not get away with coding a level 4 or 5 visit for every single appointment. It’s almost extortion. He often refuses to refill standard meds until he can squeeze a few more (level 4) visits out of you. Every other Psychiatrist I’ve seen in my lifetime offers appointments for medication management ( 15 minutes to get new scripts and confirm there are no issues) but Dr. Cohen forces you to sit thru 45 minutes of awkward silence, charges you $350, and then tells you he’ll give you your script at the next appointment. This guy is a hussler and I’ve decided to coordinate with other patients to expose him. Find another doctor if you can.
