Dr. Jason B. Samarasena, MD

i saw Dr. Sam twice, the initial time was for him to remove a pre cancerous polyp off of my pancreas. i could not have been more impressed with him. outstanding doctor. He removed the polyp, which was so close to being cancerous that it was sent to the Mayo Clinic for a second opinion. It was negative. He basically saved my life. I'm a 53 year old retired law enforcement officer, and i owe my life to him. His people skills are just as outstanding as his medical skills.

I met Dr. Samarasena on the day of my surgery. When all other staff was finished preparing me for surgery, Dr. Samarasena came in five minutes later. He answered all my questions and had an exceptional "bedside" style. He explained, thoroughly, what he would be doing. I cannot say enough good things about this doctor. Would highly recommend him to anyone and everyone.

UC Irvine Hospital procedure, outpatient. Did not use Dr's Office.
