Dr. Wanner was recommended by my optometrist, and I am very grateful for being directed to him. He is supported by a very helpful and efficient staff. I enthusiastically recommend Dr. Wanner to anyone who is looking for a specialist in macular degeneration/cataracts.

Had cataract and glaucoma surgery and the wait times and overkill are horrendous. Still cannot see well :( Office staff and kind but rushed to schedule too many patients. Hold times on phone are too long and waited nearly three hours for follow-up appt (one of four follow ups--think overkill to rack up $$). People are packed into waiting rooms and the office is mismanaged. Email and phone calls to CEO Donald Bartnick are ignored. They even started an IV for surgery erroneously because they did not have my physician's release (despite claiming they had it). Nice doctor but I question what the He_ _ is going on!

Takes days to respond to medication questions, rude office staff

I wear bifocals. He (his asst.) tested my distance vision at the last appt., but not my near vision. When he wrote my prescription he said most people as near sighted as I am like a stronger bifocal prescription then I had. He asked how my near vision was. I was having no problems. He asked if I wanted the prescription increased. I said no. When I got home and compared it to the old prescription, I found he had changed it anyway. He did not test my near vision with the old OR the new prescription and I told I was NOT having problems. His only reason for changing it was that most people like it stronger. I thought prescriptions were an individual thing. Just imagine how much money your practice could save if you just gave everyone the same prescription.

The Dr. diagnosed my father's condition quickly after other doctors failed.
