Dr. Jay Scott Youngerman, MD

Today, my wife and I took our 3 year old to Dr Youngerman for an evaluation for an upper maxillary lip tie. We had an appointment for 11:00, were brought to a room quickly and then waited for nearly an hour for someone to see us. When Dr Youngerman walked into the room, without knocking I might add, there was absolutely no acknowledgement of our lost time. There were also no introductions, not from him, not from his PA-C, nor his scribe. He walked in, simply sat on the chair and proceeded to examine my son, even without so much as using hand sanitizer. This man could not have been any more unprofessional, nor could he be lacking any more in bedside manner. I'd like to let you know that it would be a rather brisk day in Hades before Dr Youngerman comes in contact with a family member again, and I will certainly not recommend him to anyone else. Avoid him unless you want your health to suffer

Dr Youngerman is very good, I waited over one hour to see him for a very badly infected tonsils,

I have being seeing Dr. Youngerman for about 6 years, had tube put in my right ear multiple times. Always had a great experience, never had a problem. He was fantastic in putting the tube in my ear in the office. Didn't hurt at all. Excellent doctor. ( I can sing again) Thanks Doc.

I have used him for years, He does go fast, but if you have real questions he takes the time needed to help you understand. With me he gave me everything I needed to know in plain English. All Doctors offices are now factories, talk to you insurance companies, they created that problem. He did 2 nasty operations on me, I needed them, he sicked his staff on the Insurance company and they paid up. AHHH I can breathe I have had several Specialists on LI who simply can't waste time, the margins are small, but they are all tops in what they do. Hi Mr so and so, what is the issue, do tests , then give you options, and opinions if needed. They leave, you think , they return you tell them what you wish to do. I have no issues with the guy and since I understand him, he speaks enough to me to make me go back for my ongoing issues.

My PCP suggested I see and ENT after having a CT scan of the sinuses. I saw Dr. Youngerman and while he seemed nice enough, he reccommended sinus surgery. I was quite surprised since my PCP said the CT report showed not major issues jsut a few very minor ones. I got a 2nd opinion for an ENT my docotor recommended and he said I definitley don't need surgery. He suggested the les invasive Balloon Dialation. So glad I got the 2nd opinion. I wonlt be going back to Dr Youngerman

I was totally dissatisfied with my experience at Long Island ENT Associates in Plainview, NY. I never got to see the doctor. I arrived 1/2 hour early for my 3:10 appointment and was rudely told by the receptionist that I was too early. I told her that I didn't expect to be taken before my scheduled time. 3:10 came and went. I wasn't called in until 3:35. The young tech had a terrible cold, sneezing and coughing in the examining room with me, while touching all the utensils with the same unloved hand in which she coughed.When I told her that I did not want to catch her cold, she rolled her eyes. The wait continued, with the coughing and sneezing in the hallway .I finally left at 3:50 .

Overhead Dr threaten someone because he has "millions of dollars." Has poor character.

Seemed to do a good job on my surgery, everything else involved though was pretty bad.....

I would definitely not go back to dr youngerman again. The office is like a factory; appointments are over booked, office staff is rude and dr youngerman spent very little time explaining the diagnosis of my condition. He could not answer all my questions and I am looking for another competent doctor.
