Dr. Jean A. Otrakji, MD

Dr. Otrakji is just what I was looking for in a nephrologist and I am so happy he was referred to me by my internist and by a friend who works at the hospital. He is very caring, knowledgeable and kind. For me, that’s very important. I’ve had my share of hypertension, diabetes and other issues and need someone who explains everything. He explains everything in a kind caring way. Nothing worse than a doctor who pushes you out of the office and many these days do that. I had a list of questions last time and he took the time needed to explain to me what I wanted to know. I am a pretty good patient and I listen to him and stay away from salt which is my downfall! His office staff is always very nice and helpful too. I highly recommend him and wouldn't go to anyone else.

I am a diabetic and have many medical issues related to my diabetes. I was sent to Dr Otrakji by my internist for my kidney problems.Dr. Otrakji was so wonderful he was a Godsend. He is very understanding and knew immediately what my problem was and solved it so that I feel much better. I felt so comfortable going back for my second appointment and asking questions. Usually my husband and I are very worried about all of my medical problems that come with my diabetes but his office staff and him put our minds to rest. I know that when I have a medical problem with my kidneys he will be there to help. The girls in his office are very nice too and also helpful weather it be when we are sitting in the waiting room or when me or my husband calls on the phone. Just wanted to write this to thank Dr. Otrakji and his office girls for their really good care. One of our neighbors is a nurse and her husband is a fireman and they also said that he is one of the most respected doctors in the area… because he is smart and kind. They were right. These days that is a combination you can't find.
