Dr. Jeffrey Mark Milunsky, MD

Asks Medicaid patients to pay out of pocket for testing. Refuses to order outside panel testing even if cheaper and better option for patient. Is mainly interested in his own understanding of genetic conditions at large rather than understanding the genetic conditions of the person in front of him. His strict yes or no questions do not allow for connection and is a poor method of interview. For people on the spectrum or with slower processing, it would be important to bring someone with you or most things will get lost in translation and will leave without answers to questions. If whatever is going on is not a typical presentation of the conditions he knows, he is not comfortable diagnosing or exploring further. Overall an overrated Dr that people are desperate to see because of needing an EDS diagnosis. That is about all these visits are good for. Will not refer to needed specialists or give recommendations for ones if asked. It feels a bit like an EDS diagnosis factory without follow… up or support afterwards.

I saw Dr. Milunsky a couple of years ago. His office had sent out paperwork prior to the appointment and he had taken the time to read and familiarize himself with it. He then asked further questions related to the questionnaire. He was thorough and explained all testing in detail. He could be a bit gruff, but I found his knowledge and expertise far outweighed his bedside manner. I would definitely recommend him.

Just had an appointment with him today and he is such a kind and smart doctor. He took ample time to get my complete medical history (which he had read 80 pages of prior to my appointment), and made me feel hopeful about future disease management, regardless of what came back from the test results. Incredibly knowledgeable and THE person to see if you have a suspected genetic connective tissue disorder. He had a ton of holistic recommendations and looks at your full system, which is so refreshing. Highly recommend!

Dr. Milunsky is thorough in his questioning and exam, but he is rude. While speaking to my daughter who is on the autism spectrum he would roll his eyes and make snide comments to both her and I. He had no patience in her need to process his questioning before she could answer.

Saw Dr Milunsky for an EDS evaluation. He was robotic with no bedside manner. Did not answer my questions. Would not recommend.

The most brilliant doctor I have ever met! I am forever grateful for Dr. Milunskys deep knowledge of Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, his compassion and care to me and my children. He is one of the good ones. His depth of knowledge of so many conditions, rare and otherwise, is beyond impressive. I have had to see many Drs in my life, he is hands down, the smartest Doctor I have ever met.

Excellent physician. Very perceptive, very knowledgable. Picked up on nuances that other doctors had missed. Spent lots of time taking history and figuring everything out.

Dr.Milusnsky conducted a very thorough evaluation and allowed me to discuss all my questions and questions. However, he was not very friendly.
