Dr. Jeffrey E Budoff, MD

Dr. Budoff has been the doctor seeing to my upper extremity issues for nearly 20 years. He's an excellent diagnostician, very compassionate, and explains things in a way that everyone can understand. He is a superior surgeon, as well. As a physician/surgeon myself, I'm very picky about the doctors who see to my care, especially my hands. When I had bilateral ulnar neuropathies, he was the one, and not a “so-called high-powered expert”, who said I needed an EMG and then, after reviewing the, EMG said I needed surgery. He has an excellent bedside manner, great sense of humor, and strongly recommended. A+++. Steve Meltzer, M.D.

Dr. Budoff is a great doctor!

Not a single day goes by that I don’t regret placing my health and recovery in the hands of this doctor. I was a very healthy thirty-something prior to breaking my thumb and, to date, I still deal with serious problems as a result of this mans poor work throughout my body. Something went seriously wrong. I experienced rare surgical complications (according to a very close friend who also happens to be a surgeon) and, rather than helping me through it, this doctor withheld pertinent observations, lied to me, avoided direct questions that would shed light on the fact that he was aware I was experiencing complications, bullied me when I attempted to report the symptoms, refused to record the report of symptoms, omitted his own questions in a postoperative appointment (that would have supported my statement of complications) from my medical record, and played ignorant in email communications regarding the possible scope of surgical complications I could be experiencing as a result of… his surgery. He presents originally as someone competent but you will only know this side of the man if you have complications like I did. The five star reviews are only because those outcomes fit his desires. In my opinion, he is a dishonest coward only concerned with volume revenue and the protection of his own ego, which is stunningly bloated. His anesthesia contractor will not contradict his efforts either so there is no use looking for someone to be honest if you are as unlucky as I was to have complications. All I wanted was help, not unjust compensation. I write this review with a heavy heart in the hopes that nobody else experiences what I did from this man. Run for your life. Otherwise, if you find yourself in a similar situation seek legal advice prior to completing your postoperative appointments with him so you may make a clear case to punish him for his misdeeds, he should be in jail without a medical license if this world was fair.

Dr. Budoff successfully repaired severe damage that had occurred to my shoulder and bicep over several years. I'm pleased to be able to rely on his surgical skills to make repairs to my hand next.

Dr. Budoff is a very great Hand Specialist. I'm a pianist and he helped me when no other hand specialist would (at least 15 others that I saw). He performed a minimally invasive surgical technique that gave me back my piano technique. He truly cared about me and my playing career. He has great skill and confidence as a Hand Surgeon and I highly recommend him to any musician, or any non-musician, who has hand problems. Dr. Budoff gets an A+.

Dr. Jeffry Budoff is the Real Deal. I am a concert level pianist with Dupuytren's and he helped me with my hand when no other hand specialist would. He genuinely cared about me as a patient and his skill and confidence as a hand surgeon far exceeds any specialist I've seen (and I've seen many). He has brought my technique back to where it was before I got the disease. He is very kind and attentive to everything I had to say and he has far exceeded my expectations as a hand specialist. I highly recommend Dr. Jeffry Budoff.
