Dr. Gong is incredible! I have known him almost 20 years and have been his patient since 2013. He is a doctor that really cares about his patients. Although it is true that there were many occasions that his son's worked in the office. In my opinion they were always very helpful and respectful. Now about the office manager, whom happens to be his wife... She is much much more than that! Dr. Gong has aspired to where he is in his practice BECAUSE of his wife!! Through her support for the past 45 years she has enabled him to be one of the best doctors in this area. It makes me sick to hear the complaints that are posted regarding her unprofessionalness. This is wrong on so many levels. I know this first hand as she has gone far beyond what I would ever expect numerous times. To quote Thomas Paine, a leader in the American Revolution... "If you are afraid to offend, You can't be honest" Stay strong Mrs. Gong!! ??

Wife and son answers phone and is extremely rude to patients. Make it seems they are doing you a favor by talking to you. Unfortunate because dr is ok. Needs to fire wife and son!!!

Over the past ten years we have experienced Dr. Gong. He took care of my father during his medical issues which led to his eventual hospice. We had great difficulty getting Dr. Gong to offer us updates about my father's condition. His office person is clearly overloaded and at times rude. Those who know her accept that, but I found it inappropriate. When someone is suffering a condition that requires involvement of guardians whose task it is to make medical decisions, we would hope to gain the cooperation of the family practitioner. We were forced to switch to a more responsive medical practice because we could not tolerate his lack of communication. Most often 4-5 days to get an update when we knew things were changing and needed information. When we listed his meds we found that he was taking duplicate meds for some issues. Dr' Gong had continued prescribing meds without taking an overall look at what Dad was taking. We brought this to his attention and he admitted the… oversight. IN her elder age (91) my mother has been comfortable with Dr. Gong. But she has been of good health and not needed special attention. Now my mother has experienced a malady which under Dr. Gong's care has resulted in her experiencing a threatening level of advancement of her symptoms. This due to his "laisse-faire" attitude regarding her symptoms which denoted an escalated response, but got delayed action if any at all. I called his office and was told he would call me back. After three weeks to this day I have yet to hear from him. He failed to reply to a request for information concerning the scheduling of warranted tests. And as it happens their delay has allowed her condition to worsen. This evaluation comes from my wife who is a family practice nurse practitioner. But we live on the opposite side of the country and cannot care for my mother. Her condition required a series of tests which we were led to believe were ordered by Dr. Gong. But months went by without an evaluation. We could never ascertain the dates of any of the supposed tests. So she remained un-diagnosed as her condition worsened. We were forced to intercede and get her to the Emergency Room where at first glance she was put on the fast track, and all of the tests we predicted were conducted, as we suspected given her symptoms. The Hospitalist in charge of her care returned my call an hour after I requested an update. The hospital staff was far more courteous and responsive than anything we have ever gotten from DR. Gong or his rude medical office assistant We will never deal with him again as we cite him as overloaded with patients and unable to afford the courtesy of medical updates. These specifics have forced me (I am an EMT) to alert others to beware of the level of service he might offer to you and yours. Stay Safe and Healthy!

i like dr gong; but his wife is horrible. My last appt. in Sept 2019 was the worst. She screamed at somone on the phone, was nasty to me for asking a question and to another who asked how much longer sge would have to wait

Dr Gong is a kind and compassionate Doctor that takes the time to address all concerns. I am usually in and out within an hour sometimes it could take a little bit longer. I have been a patient for 17 years. I would highly recommended

Worst service, ling time waiting . I will never come back

My problem is not in regards to Dr. Gong per se, but rather his incompetent medical staff. I have had nothing but unprofessional, deplorable issues with the office personnel. This place is a joke. Nothing positive will get accomplished within this office. The main receptionist is rude and unqualified in that job. I always have a problem here, no matter how major or trivial. Every time that I need to see a specialist it's like "pulling teeth" to get a referral. The last time that I needed to see a specialist i called the office five times, and every time they had a negative attitude and all five times they never sent over the referral. It only takes one minute to do that. I had to cancel my last specialist appointment since they never sent over the referral. It's a shame I have limited choices in doctors or I would have gone somewhere else already. Dr. Gong is not that bad but the office staff makes it unbearable. How competent of a doctor can he be if he puts up with this level of… incompetency? How good is a tree if its fruit is rotten?
