Dr. Jeffrey Leon Ortstadt

Dr. Ortstadt is great. He listens and observes very well and I honestly couldn't have asked for a better neurologist.

This doctor presented with the worst bedside manner of any medical professional in our mother's 85 years of life. When we asked valid questions or when sharing concerns/observations of our mother's behavior, Dr. Ortstadt responded, "Who is the doctor here?" Or "Why do you need me if you think you are doctor?"

Because of new insurance, I had to get a new neuro doc. I have a multitude of neuro issues. He asked me about my arm and when I told him it never got looked at since I injured it last year, he said "oh come on." Well, it hadn't because of issues with my former PCP and their referral department. When we were discussing my symptoms I have been experiencing, and progressively getting worse, he asked "were you abused as a child?" I just looked at him with a look of what does my childhood (35+ years ago) have to do with my symptoms are getting worse and I would love to know what is going on. He said "you will be fine. It is all in your head. Your MRI [of your brain] was fine." I wish my old neuro (in the same office) accepted my insurance because he had a much better bed side manner. I sat in the car in the parking lot with my friend who drove me there (my vision is blurry even with glasses) and cried. I have never been made to feel like I was making it all up in my life. Worse doctor ever.… His office staff though is really nice.

Went to him ..Seemed ok..Had two visits..Bill is paid. Now cannot get a response from anyone on what happens next.

I see Doc ortstadt at UT Southwestern. He listens to me and is very compassionate. He is by far the best neurologist I have ever seen. I have mild ...
