Dr. Jeffrey Thomas Reed, MD

The first time I went there many years ago he was a dashing, young, intelligent dermatologist with his own office and I was impressed. the last time I went there, however, it seemed he had transformed into a shell of his former self. shrunken body, withered face, cranky, spiteful and actually threw an insult at me which sort of terrified his office personnel who must have been familiar with such outbursts, since they appeared terrified rather than shocked. I have seen others transformed in such a way due to alcohol and/or drugs. sorry to say that I can't recommend him and I wouldn't think for a second about going there again.

Regret going there

he and staff would not see me for a concerning swelling on my fac near my eye. He saw me on a Monday a.m. and injected a steroid. The swelling was red and worse Wednesday and they said they couldn’t see me. I spoke with the nurse and Asked her to speak with Dr. Reed to get me in. She said she would call me back. I called again at 1:30 to discover the office was closed and no returned call. I saw my internist who recommended I see my dermatologist right away. Very disappointed,

My first visit was awesome. Dr. Reed is very personable, easy to talk with, makes you feel comfortable, listens and has a genuine interest in his patient's overall care. I highly recommend Dr. Reed and plan to visit again if and when I need his care.

This review is not about the skill set of the doctor but about his bedside manner. As a patient I was extremely vulnerable and concerned about my situation. Instead of communicating the facts and focusing on what actions can be taken, Dr. Reed didnt shy from sneering and was borderline rude. It took me a couple of months to recover and seek advice of another doctor after this appointment.

Dr. Reed is my and my wife's choice for treating skin problems, including keeping up with and treating pre cancerous issues from years of sun exposure. We both like him and his staff and are completely satisfied with their care.

Very good and I would say the best doctor in this field I have been too in St. Louis since living here. very attentive, knows what he is doing, caring, just a good man. I love the way he treats you.

Dr. Reed has been my dermatologt for over 10 years, I highly recommend him.Premier Dermatology staff is friendly and courteous. Wait time is typically less than 10 minutes. The office is conveniently located and has handiapped accessible entrances and lots of parking.
