She’s a wonderful provider who listens well and is smart

Zero stars! I attended a visit to see Dr. Dipero with my mother in law in July of this year. At that time it was known that she had a large tumor pressing on heart that was terminal. We tried to get Dr. Dipero to answer some questions regarding the prognosis and she said “ I don’t feel comfortable telling you anything, I am not a oncologist” She went on to tell us that “I am not even supposed to be here today, technically I am on vacation”. I then mentioned that when my mother in law saw the ear, nose and throat doctor, they told us that she had small cell carcinoma. She said, “how do they know that?” I said, “because they read her chart” she then looked at her chart and said, “oh, okay, it does say that”. She stepped out from behind the computer and said “well, we know this isn’t good, right?” Then essentially dismissed my mother in law by saying, I am not an oncologist. I treat the whole of you, not cancer. Her lack of empathy and concern was astounding! I have never met a doctor so… void of compassion and caring. Just after Easter of this year, my mother in law received an X-ray at the ER for chest pain. The same pain she had complained to Dr. Dipero the year prior. At that time, without concern or tests Dr Dipero passed it off as “ a muscle spasm” and sent her home. A year later she passed. I am so furious at her unprofessionalism and cannot say enough a out how angry I am. I would NEVER recommend this doctor to anyone.

Competent, but horrible bedside manner. Some sort of conflict / reprimand she gave a receptionist regarding my appointment also created unpleasant encounter. This whole medical practice seems a little socially dysfunctional.

Dr Depiero is condescending, dismissive, does not listen, and says she doesn't have time to address all of my concerns in one visit. She refused to even consider prescribing me a medication my therapist recommended for me and tried to convince me to accept far more risky and dangerous medication. She has wasted my time on now several occasions and I will never return to her again. I do not recommend this doctor.
