Dr. Jennifer Morris has the following 2 specialties
A psychiatrist is a doctor with specific training in the diagnosis and treatment of mental illness.
He or she can not only provide the counseling necessary to both diagnose and treat a patient, but can also prescribe medication when needed. In some cases, a psychiatrist will only provide the medication and the counseling will be provided by another healthcare specialist, like a certified counselor or psychologist.
Like other doctors, psychiatrists employ diagnostic tools like CT scans and MRI in order to observe the structure and function of a patient's brain.
Once a diagnosis is made, these specialists may use behavior or cognitive therapy in order to address the patient's condition, or a multitude of other types of therapy, in conjunction with or in place of medication.
A neurologist is a physician who diagnoses and treats disorders of the nervous system which is comprised of the brain, spinal cord and nerves. These doctors do not perform surgery, but refer patients to neurological surgeons when they determine that surgical intervention is necessary.
Some of the conditions that neurologists diagnose and treat are epilepsy, aneurysms, hydrocephalus, Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, stroke, spinal disc herniation, and spinal disease.
In addition to using diagnostic tests like MRI, CT scans, EEG and EMG, neurologists also employ neurological testing to gauge muscle strength and movement, balance, reflexes, sensation, memory, speech, and other cognitive abilities.

Initially I was happy with Dr Morris and staff - I had no problems came up. My problem with her came during chemo for breast cancer. Cancer patients can get something called chemo brain, when you can "forget things that they usually have no trouble recalling". I was driving to her office (done many times) and got lost. Called the office said I was lost but would be there soon. Continued to get lost two more times. Each time calling the office. Was now very scared and crying. Arrived in office in hysterics. Office manager was called to the front. She informed me I had missed my appointment & would have to reschedule. Handed me a tissue and walked away. THIS SHOULD HAVE WENT FROM APPOINTMENT TO EMERGENCY. I was in the waiting room. As I sat in my car trying to pull my self together enough to drive from Edmond to Norman, I saw Dr Morris leave for lunch. I blamed it entire incident on the office manager until several appoints later At the end of each sessions Dr Morris always said "IF YOU NEED ANYTHING CONTACT ME" I heard it one time too many and told her in detail what happened. She blew me off with, Oh the schedule was full & they were trying not to stress me out" SAY WHAT !! Sometimes the office environment does start at the top
I absolutely love Dr. Morris!! I feel like she genuinely cares for her patients and knows what's going on in your life! She is also very open to trying new things and changing things if needed! We have cried together and laughed together and I think she is the sweetest dr I have ever seen!! She also is very good about recommending great books, and other alternative.
I agree with everything that has been posted on here. My husband was diagnosed with ADD and after a surgery became addicted to pain pills. He started out seeing the PA Rachel (who told him slip ups with cocaine happens so his slip up was okay). When my husband asked for help with his pain pill addiction we met with Jennifer Morris. She seemed to finally understand and not judge him. She started him on the meds for that and took over the ADD meds. She said during the stage of trying to find the right dosage to please call her at anytime, day or night, before he tried to get pain pills off the street. The meds were not the right dosage and he ran out before the next appointment. We called and called and called and left messages and never got a call back. When we went back for the follow up appointment we told her no one would call us back and she acted like it was in the process of being fixed. WRONG! Another incident was with the ADD meds...we were still in the stage of trying to figure out the right dosage and she told him he could take up to two a day if need be. He was almost out of his pills and was going to be out of town when his next appointment would be so he called and called nothing...so my husband went up there. They basically treated him as he was a druggie and he got upset and told them that he should find another Dr. When he got back from his business trip he called to make an appointment no answer, no call back. I left a message on the message board and 2 weeks we got a phone call back saying that he was no longer allowed to come back because he said "he was going to find another dr" he asked the guy if he realized their office worked with unstable people and they are bound to say things when they are not properly medicated and treated badly. The guy did not say a word but referred him to another Dr. We had already decided to find another Dr as this office staff is the worst I have ever seen and I thought Dr Morris cared but I believe the person who said she was probably fake is correct. My husband has a very well paying job and was on the verge of losing it. I can't believe someone messing with patients mental health could just abandon a patient like that.
