Jeremiah Nelson, MD, was eleven years old when he was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus. This diagnosis led him to his career as a Diabetologist. Only 18, when he attended medical school, Dr. Nelson graduated from an accelerated 6-year program at the University of Missouri – Kansas City School of Medicine, receiving both a Baccalaureate of Biology and a Doctor of Medicine. He completed a Pediatric Residency with Orlando Health and a three-year diabetes-focused fellowship with Washington University in St. Louis – Barnes Jewish Hospital & St. Louis Children’s Hospital Consortium. Dr. Nelson treats both pediatric and adult patients.Dr. Nelson enjoys tennis and music preservation/collecting when he is not working.
