Dr. Jerrold Steven Olshan, MD

Dr. Olshan wanted my son to take puberty blockers so he could grow taller. My son uses a wheelchair so height was not a big deal to my son but Dr. Olshan was sure it would bother him when he got older. He threatened to report me if I didn't give my son growth hormone even though I had already agreed to do so if medically needed for low growth hormone but not if he had normal growth hormone and it was just to help him grow taller. He assured me that Lupron was 100% safe, which is untrue and I brought scientific articles to prove it since he was insistent that my son should take it even just for cosmetic reasons. I have been to many specialists in Maine and have had mostly good or excellent experiences until my experience with Dr. Olshan. I would avoid going to him unless you plan to blindly follow everything he says without doing any research or asking any questions.

I am so happy with Dr. Olshan. Dr. Olshan is so friendly and really knows his stuff. He explains things out, takes his time with you and is all around wonderful !
