Dr. Jesse Michael Mintz, MD

In 1989, I prayed to the GOD that a change would come. GOD sent you, you and your staff. When I Ieaned to my own understanding, things did not look good for my 1 lb 8oz son. I thank you because you were the calm at every hurdle. Hurdles with the ventilator, the nasal prongs, the hood, the room air. The fight for his next breath. I remember like it was yesterday, when you said, Ms McKoy, it’s time for us to take JERMAINE off the ventilator. He is graduating to the nasal prongs. I was so excited until the hurdles came... Once the tube was removed from his throat...his throat started swelling and closing...while I was a nervous wreck you and your staff were persistent ly professional, calming, knowledgeable, and on point. This condition did not go away overnight. I remember asking you to put him back on the ventilator. It was where ” I” was safe and most comfy. You explained to me how important it was for JERMAINE to pass the nasal prong hurdle...to put him back on the ventilator would be a step backwards. I have referred several clients to Jesse Mintz, but will no longer refer anyone to him. He is extremely unknowledgable in regards to Autism Spectrum Disorder. Do not go to him if you are seeking a comprehensive Autism evaluation - he does not do ANY diagnostic assessment for Autism, is not familiar with the current DSM-5 diagnostic criteria for Autism, and uses outdated terminology from the DSM-IV. He is extremely dismissive of patients' concerns and disregards information provided to him. His reports are sloppily written with numerous inaccuracies, and I have had to contact him on more than one occasion to revise the errors. He has diagnosed each of my very different clients with ADHD, regardless of the presenting and glaring issues (sensory issues, stereotypy, difficulties with transitions, deficits in social communication and interaction, etc., all equate to ADHD for Jesse Mintz). Please find a more knowledgeable doctor and save yourself time, money, and, more importantly, an egregious misdiagnosis. He does an extreme disservice to his patients.

We went to Dr. Mintz to have our son evaluated for autism. He was clear, concise and helpful in his diagnosis of our son. He explained what he thought our best course of action was to help our son and I am happy to report that it is now over 10 years later and our son is doing great.

This man invaded my privacy and made me sign documents against my will. I was forced to talk to him about personal feelings and he just really maade me feel disregarded.
