Dr. Jodie Blankenshi Benton, MD

One reviewer talks about how she always spoke about her patients in the hall- it’s true. I heard her every time I was in a room. Also, I was referred to her by 2 people I highly trust, so maybe I’m the odd woman out. She never treated or truly addressed my concerns I kept talking to her about. Her focus was wanting me to get pregnant. After 2-3 years as a patient I finally left.

She is so sweet and funny and overall the best!

She’s outgoing and to the point which I personally appreciate. She always asks if I’ve had any problems and if I have any questions about anything. She listens to what I’m saying and offers solutions and/or a plan. If you want to be babied and soothed by your dr she is probably not the one for you.

Her & her staff made me feel awful as a patient. I'm used to being the nurse & to know how I treat people, I didn't deserve that. However I found a new GYN & I love him & his staff.

I love this lady she holds nothing back when you ask a question always smiling and happy and makes my visits very nice each time

I used to work for OBGYN associates of Alabama and every time dr Benton would leave a room she always had something negative to say about just about every patient she saw. She would stand in the hall ways a talk about them even when they were still in the office, they could clearly here her . Her nurse also had an attitude and they always ran their mouths about people’s business, they didn’t seem to care about the confidentilality of others.

She was very nice and prompt and did really well especially with someone as complicated as I was....lol..? But was very nice and very upfront and straight forward and hope to see her as my helpful new GYN since I am an older woman and have had total hysterectomy and only have issues with hormones and sometimes anxiety and etc... but I hope that she'll become a really good dr and friend and helpful in times of need:) .... but very sweet and very quick and efficient seeming....

Have been going to Dr. Benton for 5 years. At first I liked her personality but it is quite non-chalant. She doesn't take your condition seriously and blames it on just being pregnant. Her nurse today said "Well I don't know what to tell you, your pregnant!." Really? It was so unprofessional. I understand pregnancy is hard but you shouldn't have to suffer especially when you take the time to call and leave a message because your symptoms had gotten so bad.

Dr. Benton delivered my child and she is wonderful! I have been very pleased with her and her office staff for over 4 years! Highly recommend her!

I am so comfortable with this doctor that I have referred my friends and family members to her. We are all very satisfied.
