Dr. Joe Moonjely, MD

I have been going to Dr. Moonjely when he first left the VA Hosp. and was located in the Towncrest area. Since moving to his current location he doesn't seem to "have time". He does very little to actually treat you, and always refers you to another doctor. It's very hard to get a prescription refill in less than 72 hours. Contacts to him about it included a fax from the pharmacy, phone call and message from me, and stopping by his clinic. I couldn't even see or talk to his nurse without an appointment. Don't go to him!

I went in to Dr. Moonjely office with severe pinched Siatic Nerve that was causing me terrible pain that altered my way of life, lack of sleep etc and made work not possible. I explained how severe my pain was to Dr. Moonjely . He prescribed me and anti-inflammatory and told me to buy Tylenol in a disrespectful manner. I explained I had to have something stronger to help reduce the pain. I was told by him that if I wanted anything stronger I'd have to go to the emergency room. I went the next day to Mercy Hospital ER there I was checked in and then examined by the Dr. on-call he immediately gave me antiflamitory shot and a prescription for a much stronger pain reliever, and seemed puzzled when I told him what I was told by Dr. Moonjely. I was then by the Mercy Hospital er Dr. prescribed something much stronger. I then went straight to Steindler Orthopedic Clinic was examined there and was scheduled for a Epidural injection procedure. I've received follow up calls from Mercy Hospital… and Steindler Orthopedic Clinic to check on my well being. I hadn't had my calls returned from Dr. Monnjelys office not to mention no follow up call either. I wasn't listened to or treated with respect by Dr. Moonjely, and not I felt proper care. I was however listened to and treated with respect by theMercy Hospital ER and Steindler Orthopedic Clinic. I will not return to Dr Moonjely l will find a MD that will listen and care about his patient.
