- Internal Medicine
An internist is a physician who focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of conditions that affect the adult population—both acute and chronic.
These doctors are often who adults see as their primary physicians because they treat a broad range of illnesses that do not require surgical or specialist interventions. They also work to help a patient maintain optimal health in order to prevent the onset of disease.
In addition to treating the common cold and flu, internists also treat chronic diseases like diabetes and heart disease.

Whenever I call the office they have horrible customer service, so when I come in it is just as bad especially the girl (cant recall her name) but she draws on her eyebrows super thick and dark. Only reason I have not left is only because of the relationship I have with Dr. Perryman and his FNP Brian. If they get rid of the trash things will be so much better or even teach them about customer service would be great too.
I have been a patient of Dr. Perryman for about 9 years. I think the world of him. He is a very good diagnostician, knows the best treatment for all of my diagnosis. He is friendly, gentle and explains tests and treatments thoroughly. They are NOT friendly, rude at times and most of the time can't answer my questions. My prescription refills take about a week to get approval. I absolutely dread having to deal with them. Now that he has joined Texas Health, he seems to have less control over the staff. I know several people, including 2 pharmacists, who have changed physicians because of the incompetence of his staff. I will continue to see him although his office staff is very poor.
AVOID THIS DOCTOR. This is the most arrogant, self-serving individual I have encountered in my 64 years. He failed to READ an MRI report and inform me that I had osteoporosis until I retained a copy and read it myself. Had he gotten past the three-sentence first paragraph, he would have found this diagnosis. 8 months later, I DISCOVERED this, confronted him and his TRUE egotistical attitude really came out. I WOULD NOT recommend this doctor to anyone, least of all a senior who is in need of care!!!
