Dr. Joel E Chodos, MD

Dr Chodos is a very good doctor. He takes him time with you, he asks a lot of questions, to try to see what's going on with you. He really helped my issue; I am 100 % better now. And I didn't have to wait 6 months to get into his office, like the other doctors I called. His staff is so kind also.

I'm going to start by saying that Dr. Chodos is not going to be a good fit for everyone, but he was the best choice for me. He asks a lot of questions, deep probing questions. Some won't seem relevant. But it's clear that he's trying to understand the big picture of the patient and their well being, physically and mentally. He's also what I'd consider more of an old school doctor-lots of note taking. I went specifically for a colonoscopy. He actually suggested I delay the colonoscopy for a year, something I did on his advice. When I went back, he went into very specific detail about the risks involved in a colonoscopy, despite the fact that those risks are very low. His directions were clear and explicit. He called the night before and checked on me. Colonoscopy went off without a hitch. We had a follow up and he discussed my results, again, in a great level of detail. If you're looking for a laid back doc, that isn't him, but if you want the best practitioner, Dr. Chodos is it.

Very detail oriented, attentive and has a genuine interest in treating you and making you feel better.

Dr. Chodos is extremely professional and very honest who will utilize all avenues to resolve the issue. Dr. Chodos is a very caring and thorough gastroenterologist. He spends literally an hour with me every time, asking questions, taking notes, answering my questions. He even mail his notes to me. I've been to soo many doctors, and doctors now-a-days don't do that any more, they often spend less 10 min with you and make you wait 45min to see them. If Dr. Chodos is in your insurance network, I highly recommend him!

I've never experienced anyone like Dr. Chodos. I've seen a few doctors in my lifetime and I'm very impressed with his thoroughness. I was pleasantly surprised with the after hour and weekend calls! If he's not satisfied with your answers, he won't rest until he finds out what he needs to know. His mind is very sharp mind, he doesn't forget a thing! Highly recommended. We need more doctors like him!

Gives a generous amount of time to individual patients. Easy to contact and is responsive in emergency situations.Is thorough in evaluating a patient's condition.

My GP said that Dr. Chodos took "being thorough" to another level! She was right. He is the most thorough doctor I have ever had in all respects. He called me at home several times to see how I was doing when I had a gall bladder attack. He does much more than I would have ever expected and is very caring. He corrected problems I had for years. He has made a real difference in my health.
