Dr. John Maclin Barnwell, MD

Worst experience I have ever had at a doctor's office. I had waited 3 hours to see the doctor when my name was called. I went up and another patient came up at the same time. The assistant acknowledged she had called my name, but took the other patient indicating she made a mistake, stating the other patient had come in and left and returned, however, I was already there when this patient signed in. I went to the receptionist about what had just occurred. The receptionist went to the back, then came out and told me I was next. The assistant called myself and another patient to the back. The assistant took my blood pressure and asked why I was there. I told her about the test I had taken and that I had been referred because of the results. She asked if I had the results and told her no, when I made the appointment I was told they would pull it, she stated "oh no yall have to bring it in with you". Then she came back and said it was done at Sinai-Grace we have it. The… assistant sent the doctor to the other patient first. Then when the doctor asked where to go after he saw the patient that was called to the back with me, the assistant told him go to room 5 then start over. I was in room 3. I left the office without seeing the doctor. I arrived at the doctors office at 12:30 left at 4:00. A bad staff is not acceptable. Can't trust this assistant's involvement in my health care.

Dr. Barnwell provided surgical services for me and my daughter. He's professional, personable, and skilled. I highly recommend him!
