*** If you are a parent, seeking attentive, personal and professional care for your child, OPTUM IS NOT THE SYSTEM FOR YOU. SInce changing from MKMG, it is impossible to schedule appointments, doctors are consistently behind schedule / cancelling appointments, no one is reviewing cases in advance or listening.  You'd be better served by a medical group who is equally invested in the care of their patients as they are profitability.*** Our experience with the Optum ENT team, Dr Scott and the hospital lacked professionalism, care and consideration. After 5 years of advocating for tonsillectomy, the Optum ENT team ordered a sleep study - which exposed the severity of our son's sleep apnea and urgent need for tonsil and adenoid removal. (API of 42) We scheduled surgery at Northern Westchester 6 weeks in advance, and made all necessary plans - we changed work schedules, childcare schedules, travel plans, took vacation days to care for him etc.  Though they had six weeks notice, the… surgical team did not bother to review our son's chart. Though he desperately needs this procedure, Dr. Scott called to cancel 12 hours before we were scheduled to arrive at the hospital because the anesthesiology and pediatrics team were refusing to operate due to the risk profile. We were not given a referral or resources to help resolve the issue. When we asked for a CPAP Rx to help so he didn't continue to struggle while we tried to figure out what hospital and doctor would be qualified to help, we were told his pediatrician would handle. When we called his pediatrician (who is attentive, invested and responsive) he said that he does not manage CPAP Rx. Ultimately, our 10 year old has gone 5 years chronically under slept and struggling due to the professional opinions of Optum ENTS. When the severity of his case was realized, we were left high and dry just hours before his procedure with no recommendations or resources to improve his situation. Competency and personal commitment are tenants of the hippocratic oath, that we were not given.

From the moment we met Dr Scott we knew he would be wonderful. Full of knowledge, a step by step conversation on how our daughters rhinoplasty procedure would go and answered all of our daughters questions. He took his time and didn?t rush us on anything. Her results took our breath away. The surgery was a success. She is the happiest I have ever seen her all thanks to Dr Scott and his amazing team. If we could give him 10 stars we would. Truly truly thankful!!

This doctor should change careers or work in a lab where he doesn't have to deal with people, since he doesn't like them, especially patients. Rude, cold, nasty. At best. Stay away.

He came off as a doctor who is just looking to make money and was very annoyed when I had a few questions. He made me feel uncomfortable and I would not recommend him.

Dr Scott was the most attentive Doctor I have ever met. Prior to Dr Scott, I had 3 sinus surgeries which all failed. Dr Scott took the time and with his great expertise I am cured and have not had a sinus infection in 4 years. Dr Scott made me feel comfortable and his care of me after the operation was incredible. I would not see anyone else.

Wow..I cant believe what I'm reading , and neither should you! My father had a laryngectomy because of throat cancer (by a diff dr) . I went to Dr. Scott because I was having trouble swollowing and I felt something in my throat. I was scared to death . He took his time examining me . My concern became his concern. He scheduled a must need biopsy right away. His office staff is amazing. They handled all the paper work and got the approval from my insurance right away. The day of my biopsy Dr. Scott explained everything. His bedside manner is awesome. He checked up on me the next day. He called me right away with my negative results! I am extremely happy with Dr. Scott and would highly recommend him to everyone !!!!!!

A businessman before a medical professional. I got the sense he is just in it for the money. I am a person, not a piece of meat, and expect to be treated as such. Unless you go into his office with this attitude, you will be poorly treated. MKMG has become nothing but a medical factory. They have gotten too big for their own good and now to see patients in the form of $ signs and not people. they seem to have figured out the people will sacrifice good care for convenience. Not a smart move on anybody's part. Don't play Russian roulette with your health.see several doctors go to several practitioners before you settle with the one you believe will give you the best treatment.
