Dr Carey only really cares about women and blows off men. Also if you havnt seen him in over a year they concider you a new patient and he no longer takes new patients. Don't waste your time .

He is very good but comes on as a bit slick.

I love the doctor! He is quick, but spends time with questions. He found a basal cell carcinoma growing toward my eye that another doctor missed. I insisted my daughter see him even though it was a 5 month wait. I would never change doctors, he has my complete confidence.@!

My son had a type of growth on his chest, Dr Carey's office got me an appointment the next day, had no wait in waiting room, less than 5 minute wait in patient room. Once the Dr looked at the growth, he was able to cut it off right then, in the office. Dr Carey called us five days later to let us know the results of the biopsy, and to check up on our little guy. Dr Carey was as good as a Dr can be, we were extremely satisfied with all aspects of care.!!!!

If you are a groupon customer this is the service you are going to get:Appointments booked out 2 months because of so many groupons for discounted services. Office staff unprofessional, is more like a spa massage type business. Hard upselling of botox, fillers or additional treatments. Specifically about lasar hair removal. I received 4 treatments at Rio Grande Derm and see very little results. I was getting hair removal on 4 areas, once I accidently had tanned/sunburnt my lower legs for the last treatment so I used that part of the session on a different body part. I didn't get my lower legs done. I did however 2 weeks later go to another laser professional who did one 4X4 patch on my leg. I'm much much more hairless in that area then in 3 sessions with Rio Grande on that spot. Here's the kicker...they can't tell me it's because I'm not a good candidate. I have pale skin and dark hair. Yet after several months after treatments only the test spot from the other office has visibly less… amount of hair. I'm kinda feel (personally) their practice is somewhat unethical. They start you off on a very low setting and increase the machine through several treatments. It truely isn't catered to the individual so that they can upsale you more treatments once you have run out of paid for treatments. Another issue is that the techs are HORRIBLE. Its pretty obvious that they purposely either aren't trained to overlap or they are ignorant and can't easily look up the instruction manual (that patients can find online) that the equipment manufaturers publish. In a few weeks once you hair falls out (it falls out initially but then grows back within 3 months) they are huges 1 inch lines of hair that doesn't fall out (isn't treated) because of their not lapping. This just means that you have to have even more treatments to get hair removal to work. If you are a groupon cutomer you are going to be upsaled at test and your first treatment with the lifetime packages. If you don't buy them at this time they wont be offered again. The do offer it when you are through with your treatments. Nice high pressure touch, especially for those with a medical and not vanity reason to get treatments.Expect cancelled appointments where you can't get in again for 2 months, instead of making you a priority appointment because they cancelled you. This office left a bad taste in my mouth and I would not recommend them for laser hair removal even with their groupon discounts. I would have fear going to them for other services after using them for hair removal.

Take care: once you pay your base fee for services, the office will begin to cancel your appointments, you will have to wait a month to reschedule.
