G/f with severe pain from TBI, FM and exacerbated by a recent auto accident was seen in the Evanston Hosp e/r recently. We're not impressed. The nurses trying to put a port in left my partner with pain in her arm from the poking and prodding. very unprofessional. Does not appear to comprehend pain and/or is paranoid about sending patients home with anything that will actually help them. Referred us to the pain clinic. The WRONG pain clinic; the one we were referred to only performs steroid injections, does not provide pain managment services. If this is standard Northshore University Hospital treatment, it leaves much to be desired.
