Dr. John T Funai, MD

Dr. Funai is an outstanding doctor, cardiologist and person. I had to move off of Kauai after 8 1/2 years, and I have to say that leaving Dr Funai's care was a great loss to me. I have a pretty complicated set of four decade+ old conditions, and he dealt with them better than any other cardiologist I have ever been able to find. He not only is excellent at listening to the patient, but his ongoing knowledge and retention of each patient's specific situation and needs is really unprecedented in my experience, and I have worked with a tremendous number of doctors working with mine and my daughters' rare diseases. I also really appreciate that he stays current with medical research and medication development, as this is really valuable to all of his patients. I only wish that I had become his patient earlier on!

This doctor is not afraid to engage personally with his patient. Much respect.

I have been Dr. Funais patient for 8 years he is simply the best. His knowledge of cardiology is phenomenal. His bedside manner is awesome and his sense of humor is refreshing.
