Dr. John D Lipani, MD

After 3 other consultations, I was able to talk to Kathleen who is Dr. Lipani office manager. Kathleen had Dr. Lipani call me the same day. I had an appointment early if the following week . Dr. Lipani took the time to look at all my medical mris. My whole back was messed up. I had two separate duties on my spine. The results are wonderful. It’s been a year and a half ago. DO NOT LET ANYONE TOUCH YOUR SPINE UNTIL YOU CONSULT WITH DR LIPANI

A friend had recommended Dr. Lapani to me since she had very successful spine surgery the prior year. I was anxious leading up to my initial visit but found both Kathy and Dr. Lapani’s demeanors were very calming. I never felt rushed and after we spoke about my condition for 45 mins, Dr. Lapani reviewed my medical records, did an exam and asked me many questions in which he carefully listened to my answers. Afterwards, he explained in detail how he could help me. Dr Lapani answered all my questions and I knew then, what a “rare find” this was; a reassuring, brilliant, unpretentious and confident neurosurgeon. My surgery was very successful, and I am no longer in pain. Dr. Lapani made himself available to me 24/7 post-op just in case I had any questions or concerns. I did call him once and was re-assured with his answer. I am very happy with the care I received from Princeton Neurological Surgery, and I can never re-pay this skilled surgeon for giving me my life back!

The care I received from Dr. Lipani and Kathy, his head nurse, is unlike any I have encountered in my entire life. Dr. Lipani at every visit takes the time to listen and then thoroughly explain how he can help you. He truly cares about his patients and wants to fix what is wrong. He is there for his patients before, during and after surgery. I have never met a doctor that is willing to be on call to talk to his patients the way Dr. Lipani does. He has truly been an angel and is so incredibly genuine. Kathy is another invaluable component of the office. She makes sure that you NEVER have to wait for anything. She literally takes care of everything single thing that you need from insurance, hospital, appointments, you name it - it's done. I could never thank them both enough for everything they have done for me. Dr. Lipani is a very special man and amazing doctor that anyone would be incredibly lucky to have.

Upon entering Dr. Lipani’s office I immediately feel that I was in the right place. You are welcomed by Kathy, the Clinical Nurse Manager, and without waiting I and my wife were brought into the examination room. Dr. Lipani enters and again, I instantly felt comfortable. Dr. Lipani spent time with me, listening to my medical problem and then began asking me questions and examining me. There was no rush or hurry on his part, and I felt he had all the time in the world for me. Dr. Lipani then began to explain what he thought was the problem and the different courses of treatment that I could consider and choose. My wife and I ask many questions and he answered each question in ways that were easy to understand. Then I was taken aback when he suggested treatment to be done by one of my previous doctors and he said the results would provide him with diagnostic information. I never experienced this before. He wanted to check on results provided outside of his office. Again, I felt he… genuinely care for me and my wellbeing. I left feeling very satisfied and impressed. Several months later and after more visits I felt confident that surgery was the best course and I was never pressured into this decision by Dr. Lipani. I was felt he was there for me, to answer my questions and do as I wanted. Every time I was leaving the office Kathy would state quite assuredly that I would get the relief I was seeking. Several times in the time from first visit I was called at home by either Dr. Lipani or Kathy asking me if I had further questions or had I remembered to get tests. I was so amazed because I was not use to doctors calling me unless I had called several times asking to speak to them. The surgery was a success and I am still having follow up visits. I could not be happier. I feel like we found the best doctor and I feel so fortunate to have Dr. Lipani as my doctor. I would highly recommend Dr. Lipani to anyone in need of a neurosurgeon. Dr. Lipani is the best, hands down!

After my first visit with Dr. Lipani I knew that I had found the best doctor. I immediately felt that I was an individual and not a number or statistic. Dr. Lipani took the time to learn everything about me and my medical concern and through the entire evaluation I felt genuine concern and empathy. I was impressed at the way he took time to explain his diagnosis, possible treatments and outcomes and that he made sure I understood everything. During the time before my surgery there were times when Dr. Lipani or Kathy, his Clinical Nurse Manager, would call me to make sure I had received pertinent information or check to see if I needed anything. Imagine, a doctor calling you and not you having to leave messages to find out information. When surgery was scheduled, again they called me prior to go over any questions or concerns I might have. During surgery, my wife was continually updated about my status. I also was very aware in the hospital, the high regard Dr. Lipani was held in by… the staff. Everyone has nothing but the highest praise for him. I feel so very fortunate and blessed to have Dr. Lipani for my doctor, my neurosurgeon. A condition I suffered with for six years and had been misdiagnosed was remedied by Dr. Lipani. I am almost halfway through my convalescence and I am looking forward to enjoying life again. Dr. Lipani will always have a special place in my heart.

Dr. Lipani gave me my life back. I was shuffled around for years, getting absolutely no answers and living a life of misery. I was referred to Dr. Lipani and instantly knew I FINALLY found “The One”. I had a three level lumbar fusion and after a 3 month recovery my life has turned around. I’m pain free and back to work. Excellent, caring, genuine surgeon. Superb. Remarkable practice in every way. From the second , I walked into Dr Lipani office, I knew this was my Neurosurgeon. This sense of peace just washed over me and through me. The interpersonal and professional experience with John and Kathy re-enforced my original feelings. Dr Lipani approach to patient care should be modeled by even health care doctor. His method of evaluation of my case was second to none, first physical examination, then read reports, then check ed films, at which time Dr Lipani explained, what he see presently, what report stated , then combining the two with an explanation using the film, so I fully understanding my present physical stating of being. If one was to lookup the word efficient in the dictionary Kathy picture would appear. Very few people in my personal experiences in the last four decades in dealing with the health care industry have I met, that can measure up to the caliber of Kathy's energy, efficiency and professionalism with regards to patient care. Blessed and grateful to be… associated with these two professionals.PS surgery was 100% successful.

Everything I can say or write about Dr. John Lipani will not do justice to him as a surgeon or as a human being. Besides, he is helped by the amazing clinical nurse manager, Kathleen Bonner. I could not have been more lucky than meeting them in this moment when I was completely panicking and thinking that this was the end. I cannot believe how lucky I was that my wife called them. They comforted her and reassured her in every possible way. (My wife was hysterical and I was accepting death as my next train station. What a couple!) Thanks for everything you have done for us. We will see each other again in a couple of weeks.
