Dr. John Michael Dawson, MD

John is an incompetent, cowardly fake masquerading as a "nice" country doctor. He totally missed the massive cardiovascular issues my (now dead) spouse was suffering from, and when another person in our life was going totally insane from brain cancer, refused for WEEKS (out of cowardice and stupidity) to help his friends get this guy committed to Honoka'a, which FINALLY happened, and where that poor slob finally lost it and died. Dawson is an idiot, typical of the fools having an MD attached to his name.

When reading negative reviews I find it hard to believe we are speaking about the same John Dawson. He is fully devoted to his patients giving them not only time to discuss their medical problems but knowing how to handle each one! Very educated in most aspects of medicine whether simple colds, diabetes, lung diseases,etc.. Listens quietly, asks questions and explains very carefully any medical diagnosis. His office staff well trained, efficient and they, too, go out of their way with each patient. Have seen many doctors here on Big Island and most left me realizing something was lacking! Dr Dawson is the one I would recommend to others in a heart beat. The best I. His field!

Other than the loooonnng wait time, which I think is a positive reflection on Dr. Dawson's willingness to take the time needed with each client he sees, I am satisfied with the service. I appreciate the fact that he is also willing to accept alternative healing practices as being valid.

He is a patient and a considerate doctor. He has a lot of empathy for his patients. He also has all the medical knowledge I would expect and also will recommend other doctors when I am in doubt. I trust his judgment completely. Sometimes we wait 45 minutes (rarely), most times 30 min, for simple blood test only 10 minutes. Not all people are on time and so that holds up the whole day.

During my career, I have received medical treatment or visited physicians in LA, SF, Tokyo, Hong Kong, NY and a few other big cities.Kamuela may be a small town, but Dr. Dawson provides excellent medical care and diagnostics.

Dr Dawson Has been a true asset to this smallcommunity. Sincere listener very articulate and thorough. His older patients are well taken care of.

Dr. Dawson was my physician for 15 years. I really appreciated it and was very happy when he suggested physical therapy for my problem instead of surgery. However, he totally missed something this last time and I could have died if I had stayed with him. Fortunately I sought another doctor and am now still alive.

Always there for all in need...quiet person , super intelligent
