Dr. John Merle Gray, MD

My mother always told me to have a female doctor, so I have! That all changed when I met Dr Gray, I mean I still get my physicals done by my other doctor but everything else is with him. He thinks outside of the box, he’s easy to talk to, he’s incredibly smart and he literally spent his entire savings on us his patients! The man is truly a hero in my book! He has a hard time responding to emails and voice messages but he was running the entire operation by himself. He has some help now so things are becoming better in that department!! So if you’re looking for a great doctor he’s your guy!!

I had the good fortune of Dr. Gray’s care during an incredibly troubling time in my life. I was suicidal and he not only helped me on the pharmaceutical front, but directed me to an amazing counselor. He takes time with his patients and genuinely cares. I would not be alive without him.

I've been seeing Dr. Gray for years and he has always been great. He takes time to talk to you and really gets to know you on a personal basis. Excellent all around family physician. Could not ask for better!

Dr. Gray is cool! We are so happy to have found him. My 16 yr old son is willing to listen to him and respects him, and my 16yr old is one tough customer, you know because at 16 you know everything already and don't need to listen to anyone!! Dr. Gray spends time with him and tells him things that he really needs to hear and makes him think about things in a different way. Not only that but this Dr. knows his meds. Dr Gray spends time with his patients so wait time may be a bit long, but he will devote his attention strictly to you during your time and will spend as much time with you listening as needed. Which I LOVE.

Dr.Gray was my Dr.when he was at UW clinic in Issaquah. I am going to go back to see him now that I know where he is practicing medicine.He is well worth the drive to Snoqualmie Ridge.

Dr gray is very patient and caring - I really feel he cares about my health issues and takes time to discuss everything with me. He has a lovely manner and seems very knowledgeable.

Sure, sometimes I have a to wait a bit longer to see him because he's not rushing through the patient before me. I'm generally okay with that, because when I'm there, I become his sole focus. He doesn't allow himself to be rushed or frazzled. He is relaxed and calm, which helps the patient to be so as well. He is thorough and accurate.

Dr. Gray is a caring, thoughtful physician. He really listens and evidences a keen interest in overall health. He akes the time necessary to address all issues. This does result in long wait times on occassion, as he is willing to get behind schedule to provide quality care to his patients. Recently Dr Gray moved from UW Physicians in Issaquah to Swedish in Snoqualmie. I have since found out that he has left Swedish. The will provide a phone # with voice mail. I have yet to hear back from him after several days. I hope all is well with him and his family.

I'd planned to follow Dr. Gray from UW to Swedish. He'd been attentive, intelligent, and darnit, downright thoughtful in our appointments. He also diagnosed a condition only on description from me that a Dermitologist completely misjudged - after seeing it personally. To my shock, Swedish tells me that he's no longer with them (couldn't have been there very long; 3 mos?), and they have no information other than a phone number, which leads to a voice mailbox. I'd travel an extra hour to stick with Dr. G, but at the moment can only hope that he and his family are well.Outstanding physician.

The ONLY negative thing that I could point out would be the wait times, however; I believe that ALL family practitioners have their hands tied with silly 15 and 30 minute time slots (mostly 15). "Spending enough time with me" appears to be more important "Waiting time during visit". I personally think that it does him credit.The wait times may suck sometimes, but I would rather wait even an hour and get the time with the doctor that I need, than have a hurried appointment that results in a misdiagnosis.
