Dr. John F Rothar, MD

Salisbury Medical and my physician Dr. John Rothar have taken care of me for over ten years and I can’t say enough about this office or Dr. Rothar. The office has changed some staff members over the years but the core doctors Hantverk, Keane and Rothar have remained and so has their incredible insight on every medical complaint. In all the years I’ve been coming to see Dr. Rothar he has NEVER missed a call on a diagnosis. I’ve referred family and friends to him and this office and they are all equally impressed and satisfied with their care and bedside manor. From early detection of specific diseases to recommending expert specialists. Salisbury and Rothar are the best at what they do. You get the feeling of that small, personal hands on doctor relationship combined with state of the art knowledge and recommendations. As long as you listen and comply with his advice Doctor Rothar will fix whatever ails you, or get you to a specialist that can.

Dr. Rothar was on time for my appointment. He questioned me about my current health status, recent surgery and my diet and exercise, due to my Type 2 diabetes. He reviewed my medications. He answered questions I had about an x-ray report, reminded me about mask usage, explained about a senior flu shot and a blood draw. He asked if I understood his answers treatment, had any questions and told me to schedule my next appointment. I have been seeing Dr. Rothar for several years and feel he has kept me healthy. I rate him as excellent as I have been to many doctors over my life-time. He is the best.

Really like him as a doctor but the front desk needs some updating- rude unprofessional and impossible to get in touch with to make an appointment . Truly sucks

Excellent doctor takes time with you and listens. Front end staff is rude.

Staff is very unorganized and lacks common sense. Have to call and remind them of the reports I needed and constantly repeat myself in a conversation because you can't say more than 1 task at a time. Dr.R. apparently doesn't care about them not doing their job correctly.

Threats his patients like cattle. In then out. Doesn't attempt to act like he remembers patients name or who they are. Once he tried to up sell me on plastic surgery pamphlet. I was pretty confused. Seems like he's just in for the money.

Obtaining a referral or Rx renewal is a trying ordeal. Such calls are transferred to an automated, leave a message type phone system, Often these requests go unfulfilled. The clerical staff is rude, inefficient and uninformed, The doctors are totally inaccessible. Dr Rothar mistreated and misdiagnosed a serious medical condition, leading to further complications and needless suffering, My advice to patients is to find another practice!

Horrible Dr. First he misdiagnosed my condition then senfs me to a specialist who the ste staff failed to send the corrwct refferal for and I was charged a huge bill which took numerous phone calls to rectify. Not worth the agravation, I suggest you find a office with a higher qualified Dr. and more accomodating staff.

Dr Rothar is great. Listens and shows concern and compassion. I would recommend him without any hesitation.
