Dr. John Alexander Selling, MD

Beware!!! This is the worst doctor ever!!! My mother was referred to this doctor by her primary care physician. She complained about some abdominal pain in her abdomen. I accompanied her to her appointment with Dr. Selling to find out more about the cause of her pain. First of all his bedside manner is pathetic!!!! He rushed my mother throughout the whole consultation. I vividly remember asking him if my mother's pain had anything related to the pancreas because, I added that there was a history of Pancreatic cancer in our family. He didn't even care to listen and explain. I clearly remember asking him twice "Are you sure it has nothing to do with the pancreas?" and he said no. Despite the fact that I suggested if he could perform an ultrasound or CAT scan just to rule out anything else, he only ordered a Colonoscopy and sent my mother on her way. Days later he called us and told my mother that it was only diverticulitis and prescribed her some powder mixture to take.… Unfortunately thanks to this incompetent "doctor" my mother was later correctly diagnosed by another doctor with Pancreatic cancer. If Dr. Selling would had cared and evaluated and sent out for the appropriate and correct tests/procedures my mother would be still alive today. I honestly believe this man should NOT be practicing medicine. He is arrogant, incompetent, and uncaring. I don't recommend this doctor to anyone, honest to God.

Dr. Selling is the best GI! He is so kind and concerned about your issues. He does not get discouraged, nor does he give up. He is a great doctor and I would recommend him to anyone in need of an excellent GI.

I had a long history of GI problems that started when I was in college. I went to a few specialist and they all ran about every test under the sun on me and were unable to diagnose the issue. I spent 10 minutes talking with Dr. Selling and he prescribed me the correct medication and I was mended within weeks. He was very thorough with tests to confirm his diagnosis. He's also one of the nicest people I have met. You feel at ease telling him anything.

Dr. Selling has been excellent in running various GI series and colonoscopies. He is very thorough and has a gentle manner.
