Dr. John Earl Shaird, MD

Dr.John Shaird is not only a wonderful doctor of pain management but he has become a good friend. We were so sad to learn of his retirement but very happy for him and wish him good health and much happiness.

Takes his time and listens to patient. Very caring and gives many options on treatment to help.

Dr. Shaird in my opinion is far better than any other Doctor whose wisdom, kindness, compassion, generous and on & on can never be adequately be out in words. And this is coming from a patient who was in a serious MVA many years ago and besides the multitudes of broken bones, there was a slight... Ok, BIG problem. I was experiencing such deep throbbing, burning ( to the point of not even having clothes touch the burning parts), swelling and pain I don't even think I could out unto words. My Ortho Dr's just kept shaking his head, then would say ' well you broke your arms( open compound fractures) much worse along with various body parts, so even tho you broke your arm in many places , most being open compound fractures. your arm just shouldn't hurt that bad..... And after complaining & complaining, often thru sobs of pain, I heard it all... One Dr even had the nerve to say" well my arm hurts too after a good game of tennis"!!!!! FINALLY, FINALLY, a Dr said " well there is this … thing us Dr's have been hearing about , so I'm going to send you to this Anesthiologest who specializes in Pain Mngt. So off I went ! Doctor , he did a " beár G block... And6chkhbjhv;[;

I saw dr shaird back in 2005 after a car accident. I always thought he cared how my pain was being controlled he listened to me we joked around he took good care of me for about a year. His staff has ALWAYS sucked they were rude then didn't do their jobs authorizing visits or procedures and he seemed not to really understand the frustration they caused. Hard to get an apt. Back then his schedule was willy nilly. If you need a well run pain management doctor with great staff nice doctor and full range of help for your pain try southern Michigan pain in marshall. Great place all 5s. Sorry dr shaird but you never even had me get an mri. Just gave me trigger point shots and a bottle of pain meds.

When I started going to him in 1998, he seamed like a good doctor. As the years have gone by he does not do his paperwork or his billing correct so you are not able to get the full care that you can get if the paperwork was done. He also does not do you right on your medication after he is the one that has put you on it. Will not do preauthorized for medication through your insurance.

Dr didn't ask how my previous treatment was before he administered. The next treatment! Was slow to send my medical records to my family Dr. Almost harassed me about smoking even when I said I was trying TO quit! Didn't take time to listen about how I thought the treatments were working, blamed the failed treatment on MY smoking!!!

My wife and I were referred to Dr. Shaird several years ago by our G.P.. He has exceeded our expectations in all ways on many occasions. His levels of expertise and compassion are second to none.

The most kind and compassionate doctor I have ever had the pleasure of going to, And I have been to quite a few. He takes his time with you and shows genuine concern.
