Dr. John Waples, MD

Dr. Waples and his staff are the best. They are very professional and caring. Whenever I have something going on with me health wise he listens. It has been times that I have left he’s office on a stretcher going straight to hospital to be admitted. Dr. Waples and his staff go above and beyond for his patients. He also does research on new medicines that might help his patient. I think him and his staff do a wonderful job day by day.

My mother was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer a few years ago and survived it through chemotherapy. About a year and a half later, she calls Dr. Waples to report a lump in her armpit. Dr. Waples told her she was "just afraid of becoming a dull patient." Well she went to the doctor about a week later and found out she now had stage 4 breast cancer without Dr. Waples giving her a scan one single time after her being "cleared" of stage 2. This "doctor" is a snake oil salesman who acts as a huggable teddy bear for the patients to feel comfortable while he makes $50k off of one chemotherapy patient. His main concerns are not work or his patients, but his hunting and fishing life. This is a warning to cancer patients under Dr. Waples and any cancer survivors to get scans every couple of months.

I had an appointment and waited two hours still no doctor. If I showed up two hours late they would have cancelled my appointment and charged me a no show. Not happy at all!!! Will never go back

I was diagnosed with Stage IV Melanoma about 4 years ago. To be quite blunt, I should have died several years ago and then again last summer. As you may know, the diagnosis for advanced stage Melanoma is not good. The average life expectancy is 6 to 22 months and thanks to the care of Dr. John Waples and CCI in general, I am not only alive, but currently have no symptoms. My Melanoma is the result of a very small spot that appeared on my chest that I never noticed. Thanks to my wife, I went to her doctor to have it checked out and the spot was biopsied and cut out at the GP's office, over 20 years ago. A little over 4 years ago, I developed a tumor on my sternum and spots on my lungs that were growing as aggressive as anything I've ever seen in my life. To cut to the chase, I had to have the majority for my sternum removed and participated in a clinical trial for a new immunotherapy type of cancer treatment. I would highly recommend Clearview and Dr. John Wapples. The wait is a little… long, but the wait is a tribute to the man himself and his reputation as being one of the best Oncologist around. I've yet to meet any staff at Clearview who were not 100% professional and extremely and pleasant and friendly to be around, while undergoing what has been the most stressful and scary time of my life. I actually look forward to seeing all the good folks at CCI, many of whom I've become quite friendly with and we end up talking about everything, but cancer. I believe the people at CCI do everything they can to make you feel comfortable. I need to keep this short, but I feel so blessed and want people to know that there is hope. There are so many people who deeply care at CCI and you will find yourself looking forward to seeing them whenever you go. Dr. Waples is not only my Oncologist, but my doctor, period. I now look forward to getting back to the things I enjoy and am looking forward to the future for what ever it may hold.

Great Doctor

I adore Dr. Waples. He was so personable on my first appointment. He told me I was gonna be ok. He hugged me, and prayed with me. Don’t get any better than that. I have referred several friends to Dr. Waples who also adore him.

The wait was entirely to long, I waited an hour while listening to the doctor and the nurses talk and laugh in the other room

Dr. Waples is very friendly, thorough, professional and knowledgeable. He took time to make sure I fully understood everything and took all the time I needed to answer any questions I had. He totally put me at ease. I would definitely recommend him. I have seen five doctors in the last few months and he was my favorite.
