Dr. John Conant Weed, MD

He is arrogant and a very poor. Dr. He did some relatively minor surgery on me. Afterward I was having a lot of pain and he told me It was drug seeking behavior. Two weeks later I was Diagnosed With a large Lymphatic mass in my abdomen from Lymphoma. It was diagnosed by another Doctor.

Unfortunately John Weed was the on call doctor for my wife. After finding a tumor on my wife's intestines he came into her room and told us there was nothing we could do for her, basically giving her a death sentence. After crying all weekend my wife decided she wasn't giving up and called her surgeon. After reading the scans our surgeon thought he would be able to help. He preformed surgery allowing my wife to eat real food again (she was on a liquid diet for 8 weeks) and extended her life another 6 months. On the day of her death she woke from a nap in pain. We went to the hospital and John Weed was the on call doctor again. He told us he believed a different tumor had burst and it was the end time for my wife. He administered pain medication to my wife and then left the room. The medication did not help as my wife's pain continued to increase. I asked for a stronger pain medicine for my wife and was told that John Weed had already left the hospital. He did not answer his phone or… call back. My wife was in agony and there was nothing the nurses could do without Weed's approval. She was in extreme pain for over 3 hours before Weed called back in and approved a stronger pain medication. She died 30 minutes later. In my opinion Weed (I refuse to call him doctor) should have stayed at the hospital until my wife was stable and out of pain. No excuse for his actions that day!

Dr. Weed wanted to immediately take every thing out of me. He needed to do more tests. Please get a second opion!

For anyone receiving a diagnosis of cancer, it can be terrifying. At my initial appointment with Dr. Weed, I was immediately put at ease. He provided quick information and I appreciated the efficient manner in which he provided care. He also performed my subsequent surgery to remove the cancer. He was attentive, answered all of my questions, followed up in a very caring manner. I would highly recommend him to friends and family for care.

The best surgeon I could have had!

Dr. Weed is rude, inconsiderate, dismissive, prejudice and arrogant. In a very vulnerable time of needing an oncologist, pick someone else. Do not go to Dr. Weed. He made assumptions about me that were not true that altered my cancer treatment. His plan did not follow best practices or provide a comprehensive treatment course.
