Yes there were a couple of rescheduled in the process of waiting to have my first appointment with Dr Carter but overall it was worth the wait to have such an excellent surgeon who not only had very and thorough explanations to give about the type of surgery he wanted to perform but was very supportive and not he did not judge me for having gained weight while dealing with a hernia and fears but I had which restricted me from working out. He reminded me to be proud of the overall weight loss that I had achieved and maintained off my body for 18 years! Where previous surgeon had shamed me for the weight gain he was quite the opposite and it made a world of difference to feel the genuine non judgement coming from a physician of his caliber. On the day of surgery once again he asked if I had any questions or concerns before going in and then afterwards he came in and touched base with me to see if I had any questions or concerns at that point. At all times he is a physician who talks to… you and not at you. All the time and waiting to see him and scheduling to have the surgery was definitely worth the wait!!! Thank you Dr C!

Dr Carter canceled my first appointment with me on the day of the appointment and I had scheduled it 3 months beforeand then rescheduled. I drove up from Menlo Park to see him. I just had a baby so I told them I needed to pump at some point and also leave to pick up my new infant. They told me he was running on time - I waited an hour under the assumption I was “next” - I could have pumped or done something and finally had to just leave bc I ran out of time to wait. So it was a complete waste of over 3 hours of my time with driving, parking and waiting

Dr. Jonathan Carter recently performed my gallbladder removal surgery. I was EXTREMELY nervous the day of the operation and experienced a high level of anxiety. He and his entire team went above and beyond to ensure I was comfortable and trusted them. They held my hand during moments when I was scared and Dr. Carter performed the surgery perfectly. I couldnt' be happier with my decision in see Dr. Carter.

Dr. Carter was the only surgeon who could fix my problem, after seeing many surgeons before him. He saved my life!
