Compassionate, Attentive, Thorough

Dr. Lovy and his staff are truly amazing! Yesterday I had my annual physical. I was greeted by his wonderful staff at the front. Amy & Andrea and so incredible. And as I was there, I observed more of what I've noted in the past: the kindness and compassion of this clinic. There was a senior couple in the office. The husband was very ill and managed to get himself to the office and his wife had come with him. The doctor had decided the husband needed to be at the hospital. The doctor had determined that the husband was really too sick to drive, and the wife wasn't sure how to get him there but drive him herself. For whatever personal reason, however, she was not able or suppose to drive either and the staff knew this. When they kindly asked her, "You cannot drive, right?" the woman replied "No, but I have too. We simply cannot afford another transport bill." This crew immediately went into action to plan for one staff member to drive the couple to the hospital in the couple's car and another staff member to follow in another car to bring both of them back to the office. Amy in particular was all over this, making sure they were cared for. I silently watched as, once again, this office exhibited extreme helpfulness and kindness and provided quality care for their patients that now-a-days is considered above and beyond. I knew that I needed to share what I was observing with others to people know what this place is about. When I got back into the patient rooms I was greeted again with nothing but kind smiles, hellos, and it was wonderful. My mother is also a patient, and everyone was asking me about her with tremendous love and compassion and true interest. Dr. Lovy was extremely efficient once again. He was friendly, funny and happy, and so thorough. I love that he sits down and takes a chair vs stands up at the door like he needs to leave in 5 minutes. He spent a tremendous amount of time with me going over everything I wanted to discuss and never made me feel rushed. He listened, no interrupting or tuning out anything I wanted to say. He responded with great information and attention, and it is a wonderful doctor-patient collaboration. You don't feel like he's overriding you in any way or authoritative and controlling. He's your partner in your health care. But he is there with wonderful input, insights, and suggestions and guidance. He is well informed and up to date and he will also research whenever he needs additional information. I watched him look up things on his laptop in the office with me. I've seen him do it many times on his personal phone, too, when I've been in the office with my mother. If there is something he needs to verify, he will. He will do research. Truly amazing. I honestly believe if there is ever anything he is uncertain about, he will check for the right answer. I cannot be anything but impressed with the thorough consults one has with him. Even if sometimes this means there is a little wait out in the waiting room for him, I do not mind. Where I've been disappointed in the past with physicians is when you have a wait in the waiting room, finally get in to see the doctor, and they rush in and out within minutes without truly talking to you, listening to you, etc. But if a doctor is going to take time with his patients to do a proper job and give attention to everyone, I don't mind if sometimes I need to wait a bit. I know he is back there giving other patients the exact same attentiveness that he will be giving to me very soon. I respect that. I have been seeking a doctor's office I could be pleased with for decades. When my family found Dr. Lovy and his crew, it was an answer to prayer. No Compassion

Dr. Lovy was highly recommended by a nurse that I worked with .From the first visit he was on his phone I just thought he was looking something up about my reason for the visit. No big deal . Now My husband is a patient also He was serverly Sick and seen Emily as he couldn’t wait for appt with dr Lovy as he had painful protruding lump in abdomen He wouldn’t even take a aspirin before getting Mystenia Gravis He wasn’t taking his meds(narcotics) at the time as he was apprensive as to where his pain was coming from and was getting concerned . Wow what a hot mess that turned out to be His nurse or medical assistant called after being in the hosp for a week and more less said got ya you are not taking your drugs as prescribed and therefore dr will not fill anymore absolutely did not care as to why and when my husband tried to explain to her she said he should go see a psychiatrist. That’s why I am addressing this. Who is running the office the Dr or the staff. This should have been handled by the dr not his Nurse or Medical assistant .Things are not always what they seem I am his wife and am in the medical field myself I know how this was perceived and shame on this office .Start listening to your patients Don’t be so quick to judge people He just got out of the hosp with a very bad infectious disease colon issue among other major issues ....Kelly you have no right to tell anyone to see a psychiatrist YOU are not A Qualified DR needless to say this was so unprofessional I will not go back to this Dr. and hopefully my husband can get the help he needs also We pay to much for health insurance to be disrespected

Needs To Read Patients Chart

I took my mother in to see Dr. Lovy for a continuing back pain issue, as she is a regular patient in his practice. It was very apparent he was rushed, he hadn’t reviewed her chart, and actually thought she was a new patient, even though he had seen her 2 weeks previously, and a number of times prior to that. Very concerning that a doctor doesn’t review patient history, wants to prescribe medication without looking at what he has prescribed previously, and doesn't take the time to ask the right questions. Finally, an almost 2 hour wait time is unacceptable. Changed doctors to one that is competent.
