Dr. Schoenecker is truly the best physician/surgeon. Brilliant, patient, thorough, personable, caring. He leaves no stone unturned and stays with you until every question you have is answered. I will never complain about waiting for him, because I know he is giving every single patient and family all the time they need, just like he did for us on our first visit. Now we are post op 1 year, with hardware removal just recently, and he's just as engaged and caring as ever.

My child had a post-op appointment and the doctor did not even evaluate her or move the limb that had been operated on. Said she was fine. This is a surgery that will need to be followed for the next two years and did not give us any follow up instructions. He was also very belittling when we expressed our concerns. In the course of conversation he probably said “I’m looking at you and I’m telling you...” 15-20 times. Yet he never heard what my child or I were telling him. I have never had a doctor be so rude and degrading to a 10 year old child or myself. He also did not prep for her surgery like he said he would in the initial appointment when we had to switch to him. He said he would consult with the original doctor who performed the first surgery to make sure all tools would be in the OR room for the hardware being removed, however this was not done and they had to keep my daughter in surgery in additional 2 hours while they waited on the correct tools to be located. This man… needs to do a little more prep work for his patients instead of referring to us as just a case!
