Never go to him. He does not have good bed side manners because you dont see him if there is complications. He ignores you and has no remorse when there is a mistake..

Tremendous personality for a doctor. Really seems interested in your overall condition and providing accurate treatment recommendations. He has been excellent in allowing me to be involved in the decision making process regarding treatment.

I have been seeing Dr. Velasco for about three years, primarily for an abdominal aerotic aneurysm but when I had a checkup with my cardiologist he said that my left carotid artery was pretty much blocked. I was able to made an immediate appointment with Dr. Velasco who saw me, scheduled surgery at KMH and did a superb job - most of my friends were asking when I was going to get the surgery because the scar was so small and not obvious at all. Followup was excellent and I will continue to see him. A friend of ours, a nurse, said her father had the same surgery by Dr. Velasco and with the same results - no obvious scarring, great aftercare.
