Dr. Jonelon Gabriel Tsang

I'll start by saying thank heavens Dr. Tsang is no longer with The Pain Center of Arizona. I'm assuming he was fired after all the complaints. I'm writing this in case any of his future patients or future employers are searching for reviews on him. In my opinion Dr. Tsang has no business being a physician let alone a Pain specialist. He completely lacks compassion, doesn't want to hear your history and seems to smugly enjoy lowering your pain med dosage or taking it away completely even after having been prescribed the same medication by his fellow doctors in the same practices for over 10 years. If you even slightly try to object or question why he is doing it (without him wanting to hear ANY of your pain history) he immediately tells you to find another doctor. I'm not a drug seeker, I've never taken more than my dosage or asked for it to be increased. I've never failed a drug test by this practice in 10 years and yet on my first appointment with him, he was rude, condescending,… and smirked at me (no kidding) when he summarily told me he was lowering my dosage. I've had 14 surgeries and many many doctors but never one as arrogant and uncaring as Dr. Tsang. If you are thinking of hiring him or having him as your doctor, trust me, run!

I recently had to go to the emergency room for unbearable pain in my upper body chest and arms. I was diagnosed with Shingles and started to have the red pustules on my arms and hands. They had me on Dilaudid with an IV because of the pain. I told them I was under a pain contract with Dr. Tsang at The Pain Center. They wrote me a prescription for what I was already taking at the Pain Center but to check with them first before filling. I was told to take what I needed of my current prescription and ask Tsang to fill my scrip ahead of time with a larger amount or a higher dose temporarily for a month to get over the initial trauma of the pain with Shingles. I called the Pain Center and was told to just continue with my regimen and that's all the help they would give me. I am out of pain meds and in terrible pain with no relief. My issue is that if you have an emergency and go to the hospital why should a doctor that is unrelated to the current emergency have control over your treatment… for something totally different than what his involvement is? I have an appointment on Monday for a treatment which I tried to cancel because Shingles are contagious when they start to leak and I didn't want to infect anyone else. He would not fill my prescriptions and let my wife pick them up so I had to reschedule my appointment, take the chance on infecting people in the waiting room and the people that work there just to satisfy this doctors control issues. He will more than likely post date the prescriptions so I still will get no relief. Not much of a pain doctor to keep patients in pain. There are other elderly people there that this could infect. Why would a health care provider take a chance with their welfare to satisfy his control needs. I gave them all of the paperwork from the emergency room so they have all of the facts of my situation. I am very dissatisfied with the risky way they have handled my situation and how they would expose other patients in their office. My primary care, emergency physicians and release nurses all seem to be on the same page except for this pain doctor that seems reluctant to help his patients with the care they need. I do not recommend this doctor to anyone seeking pain relief especially if you have other health issues. Also I am not a drug seeker! I have been disabled since 2009.

He directed me to look a certain direction but I had no idea which direction because he was going so fast. He stopped and told me, "this direction, this way, no this way, you stay there haha ha haha!" He laughed in my face because of my confusion over his instruction on which direction I needed to stand for the nystagmus eye test. I've never had such a cocky doctor in the history of my diagnosis.

Run! just RUN!!!! total jerk. shouldnt be a Dr. just wants money, your in a cattle line with him.

I was an extremely satisfied patient for several years at The Pain Center of Arizona Prescott clinic until a disturbed malfeasant named Tsang joined the practice and purposely harmed me for no reason. It was obvious during my initial office visit he was completely unfamiliar with me, my chart and prognosis, and yet, he immediately issued an edict changing my medication therapy without discussion. When I asked to research his proposed change before effecting it, he stated if I didnâ??t like it I could seek care elsewhere. Upon my second visit, I sensed something bad was eminent before he opened his lying mouth and my fears were justified. He stated, â??â?¦patient refuses injection therapyâ?¦â?? which was a blatant lie he used as an excuse to discharge me from the practice. He stated, â??â?¦patient disagrees with treatment planâ?¦â?? again, a blatant lie. I alerted the patient services coordinator seeking intervention subsequent to my initial visit to no avail because she… couldnâ??t be relied upon to act in time before my second visit, one month later. Subsequent to discharge, I appealed to the practicesâ?? director who, because of inconvenience, had no intention of correcting the harm. Tsang lied multiple times, including in his office notes, and was never admonished or disciplined by the owner or director. Iâ??ll say it again, Tsang is a disturbed malfeasant who harmed me for no reason.

ALL HE WANTS TO DO IS PUSH GETTING SHOTS IN THE BACK, WHEN I TOLD HIM ONCE BEFORE I DIDNT WANT THEM, HE KEEPS TRYING TO HAVE ME GET THEM. WHAT PART OF NO DOES HE NOT UNDERSTAND ? HE ISNT RIGHT FOR THIS POSITION IN MY OPINIONE

This is one of the best doctors I've ever had.
