I saw this doctor about 5 years ago for BPH and pain and he said that I had two nodules in my prostate and immediately ordered a PSA and next day he wanted to do a biopsy. I didn't believe him firsthand and he appeared to be untrustworthy. So the next day I went to the Presbyterian Medical Center Emergency Room and the doctor there said I had no nodules at all. If I had nodules as he said I would have been dead by now. I still have BPH and pain and nothing seems to alleviate my torment.

Had kidney stones, went to Lenox Hill, and North Shore Hospitals, where I was charged a lot of money and nothing was done, except MRI's and x-rays....finally I was referred to Dr. Silva, who within three days removed a 17 mm stone . Dr Silva is one of the best urologists, and I have seen quite a few in my life time. I should also mention his staff, especially Mercedes, who goes out of her way to accommodate any situation. All in all , my visit with Dr Silva was certainly a pleasure and I would highly recommend him to anyone

Dr. silva was wonderful. He implanted and removed stents during an extremely difficult surgery. He listened to me, explained all procedures, called me at home afterwards. His staff was also very carimg. I would recommend him to anyone needing a terrific urologist.

This is a good man and he is confident.......The kind of guy I want taking care of a serious problem..........Would I recommend him ? You bet.
