Dr. Joseph E Allen, MD

Dr Allen is a good doctor. However, since he decided to become a MD VIP and charge you money to be his patient on top of paying for insurance. We left.

Due to the staff's inability to perform a standard prior authorization, including not acting until Friday on information gained Monday, talking with the wrong insurance (and so having to wait until the next Friday), and then lying that there was an investigation, I was out of medication for months and $250 -- almost another $400 on top of that. Now over 90 days later getting lab bills due to other misfilings. Can not recommend against more.

Best Doctor and best doctors appointment I have ever had. This guy is wonderful! He's attentive, interested, listens very well and takes a personal interest in your true needs. . He is the best I have ever seen.

I have been a patient of Dr.Allen's for nearly twenty years, to me he was always the most kind, caring, and always listened to everything I had to say bad or good. But here of late, something is wrong, he is still caring, but he does not do the tests necessary on your yearly physical such as an EKG, even if you ask for it. Mine was not done last year, so consequently this year another doctor found it, if had been found last year I would be in better shape now. I have since had a stroke, not a bad one, but I think that had I been diagnosed last year for the blockage, maybe things would have turned out better for me. Dr. Allen is not the doctor he was, I love him to death but that is not saving my life. Some of his new front desk staff have no clue on how to treat a patient, they lie, and are confrontational to the patient, not good for his practice.

Having been a nurse since 1975 and havinga long list of health issues I've seen andworked hand in hand with a large volume ofphysicians and I can honestly say that theyare not created equal! Dr. Allen is verypersonable and sincerely cares enough tosit down and talk and listen to you as hediscusses your health issues and plan of care! Even my own personal cardiologist is a patient of Dr. Allen and that speaksvolumes to me as he too is another one ofthe best in his field of cardiology!

Possibly one of the most clueless doctors I've ever seen. The best thing I can say is that he was close to being on time, but there was no one else in the waiting room. Now I know why! He told me to come back in 6 months, and his next appointment was 15 months later! No problem as I won't be going back.
