Dr. Joseph Anton Hud JR., MD

I have seen him twice and I find him to be very personable. I haven’t had an issue with his recommendations or treatment plans. He made me feel very comfortable during the full body check. His assistant was great as well. The office staff was pleasant and helpful.

Dr Hud is very thorough and talks you through any procedures required. He communicates his findings clearly. I have seen him regularly for many years; through good and bad skin problems, and he has demonstrated his excellent capabilities. I recommend him to anyone needing a dermatologist.

Avoid this doctor! The check up went OK. The continuing nightmare began with their repeated failure to properly code the visit with my insurance (Cygna). Cygna says they will pay 100% of the check up, however the doctor's office coded it wrong, so they have to resubmit. I conveyed the info to the doctor, and they promised to correct. When I got another statement from Cygna, the amount owing was the same. I called them and was informed the doctor resubmitted with the exact same (wrong) code. Over the next few months, I wrote the doctor's office twice, and never received a reply. The second time I offered to settle with them for a lesser amount I so I can be done with it. They accepted and cashed my check, and then placed the balance for collection -- which I am still fighting. Others have told me that some unscrupulous doctors intentionally miscode claims so they get more insurance money, and don't care if costs their patient's share of the cost ends up being a lot more too. I suspect… this may be the case for this doctor too. You'll be better off going anywhere else.

This guy, Hud, is one of the worst doctors I've ever been to. Rude, arrogant. Terrible bed side manner. Incompetent expertise just prescribing me a one size fits all cream that didn't even work. My girlfriend was a med tech in his office and swears she saw him writing all the 5 star reviews on here. Pathetic.

Dr Hud is very complete with his assessment and clearly speaks to the patient on a level they can understand. I did recommend him to my daughter who he also provide services for now.

I instantly liked him. He is very personable and he was very thorough in my skin exam. I recommend him highly!!!!

Getting an appointment is difficult. A couple of months before you can get in. Don't count on seeing the doctor when you have an immediate problem. However Dr Hud is SUPER. Great Guy , good bedside manners and very knowledgeable.....and funny too! He is the only reason I wait so long for an appointment.

I've been seeing Dr. Hud for about 10 years. My issues have been relatively minor and routine, but his treatment has always been competent and effective. I've also appreciated his willingness to converse and educate me about the conditions and treatment. Plus he's just a nice guy.

Fed up with Dr. Hud & staff. Been patient 6 years. He schedules 3 patients at same time, have yet to leave in less time than 1.5 hours (largely in waiting room, then 20-30 min in exam room waiting, barely 10-15 min of full body exam), when asked doctor why waiting time was continually long (if was rare for long wait would have no problem), long wait is the NORMAL, was told he was attending other patients, despite asking for 1st AM or PM appointment, if need to cancel wait months for new appointment, argue w/the doctor over washing/cleansing hands before doing body check, observer in office snorted & facially showed disdain for my request, front desk staff barely civil, poor bedside manner. My PCP referred me to different doctor after discussion regarding Dr. Hud's practice. Feels like a day at DMV after being in this office. If there were a place to give no stars, that would be the choice I would have given, gave 1 star as that was lowest allowed.
