Joseph Crowe, Jr., MD, is Director of the Breast Center at Cleveland Clinic and Director of Breast Services, Cleveland Clinic Health System and OB/GYN and Women's Health Institute. Board-certified in surgery, Dr. Crowe has over 25 years experience in treating breast disease. He has a longstanding interest in the use of minimally invasive techniques for diagnosis and treatment of breast disease, has pioneered the development of nipple-sparing mastectomy, and is co-recipient of the Lula Zapis Chair of Molecular and Genetic Translational Breast Cancer Research at Cleveland Clinic. He has published over 100 peer-reviewed papers in scientific journals. He is a member of numerous surgical and oncology societies. Dr. Crowe is a graduate of Amherst College and Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. He did his surgical residency at University Hospitals of Cleveland and his fellowship in surgical oncology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York. He began the
