Dr. Joseph Omid Rahimian, MD

I cannot thank Dr. Rahimian enough for saving my life. I had a drug resistant infection that was so hard to cure but he did! He pushed for surgery when the antibiotics weren't working and thank God he did because there was a pocket of infection that would not have gotten better without surgery. During the months of treating my infection, he was always so responsive to my questions, made me feel safe and reassured me that I would get better at times when I was so scared. He is such an intelligent, compassionate doctor with an amazing bedside manner who was always there for me during the most difficult time in my life. I will never forget that!

I had Covid and was admitted to NYU. Dr Rahimian saved my life. He was really patient and calm, explained everything gently, and literally brought me back from the brink. Thank you Dr!!!

Dr. Joseph Rahimian is a great doctor. Very thorough and knowledgeable, and a very good communicator. Explains pretty much everything in easy to understand terms.

Everyone in the office is also very nice, and it is nice to be treated well since I am the patient in need of help. I would never consider changing Dr. Rahimian.

Saw him for the first time, introduced myself...he never did, never asked why I was there, jumped to the wrong conclusion. I got more out of Web MD

He rushed through appointments but that is true of almost all PCPs. Find your own specialists if you can, the doctors he referred me to were terrible. His staff is super-rude, and the office is closed daily from noon-2pm so don't expect to get anything done on your lunch hour. Bedside manner is fine but not particularly engaged or compassionate. Still, better than some I've seen...

i did not choose dr. rahimian. he was sent to examine me when i was hospitalized with an infection. when he examined me he reprimanded me for not elevating the wounded area, which none of the clinical staff had advised me to do. he discharged me on the condition that i visit his private office the next day. At that visit, he reprimanded me for having gone to work that day, although he had never even suggested that I stay home. A few days later, when the antibiotic that he prescribed made me extremely sick, his office did not answer their phone for over 4 hours and i was unable to get ahold of him through his answering service for almost an entire day. nothing would make me go back to this doctor.
