Self inflicted bullet wound... ER sent us to this surgeon. We haven't any insurance. They asked for $150 up front (understandably so). Dr. came in, felt the pulse in the ankle, told him reschedule for 30 days. THAT WAS ALL HE DID. Bullet is still in the leg. We didn't get any sort of paper work showing a charge, payment received, description of service... we got a hand written receipt. ABSOLUTE DISGRACE the way we were treated due to no insurance. What happened to the OATH he pledged???

Incredible care and understanding in a surgeon. He performed three surgeries on me-one emergency life saving and 2 others-all abdominal. He is the consummate professional and listens when other doctors dismiss you.

I am astounded that the overall rating for this surgeon is not higher. As the caregiver and daughter of a seriously infirmed patient, I am pleased and comforted by the professional and compassionate treatment extended to her by this physician. Dr. Zemis and his staff make smart decisions, looking at the whole patient while striving for the best possible outcome. I would recommend this doctor with no hesitation to anyone in need of surgery.

did not perform basic test to see if cancer was present. rushed into surgery, failed to see ct scan showed very sl cancer present. felt pressured to have surgery.
