Dr. Joshua Alan Broghammer, MD

I'd first like to address any negative reviews...Dr. Broghammer is a specialist in his field. He's a family man. He's a teacher to others entering his field. He spends many long and thankless hours sharing his knowledge and expertise. He's brilliant, personable, compassionate, and understanding. He's been where you've been and hasn't forgotten. He's in very high demand because of his mastery in his field of medicine and scarcity of others performing at his level. This guy is a busy man and it's a privilege to be under his care. I had a pretty severe case, and yes, it took some time before I was able to get an appointment and follow-on treatment. Sometimes you wait while he is with other patients. I'm happy to wait of it means he'll spend that time with me when I need it, and I found that this is in fact what he does. I had a stubborn case and initial treatments were unsuccessful, lasting nearly 2 years and exhausting all non-invasive means before surgery was necessary. The surgery… was long and a little tricky - over 2 hours. Dr. Broghammer could have chosen an easier and faster way during the operation, but he used techniques that in my opinion were brilliant and unexpected - not the easy path. After a lengthy recovery, I'm more than pleased with the outcomes. Now comes 3-6 months of physical therapy. The nursing staff and office staff have always been friendly, helpful, and willing to listen. Just remember...these people are in high demand and are extremely busy because they're helping as many people as they can with the time they have available, while still remaining available to their own families. World class organization. Great team! Outstanding doctor and surgeon!

The fact that all his good reviews are from 2 years ago should tell you something.My experience was that he didnt take any time to return calls. I called numerous times and was just ignored trying to make an appt.this was after seeing him once and trying to get back in to see him again. My advice go find a doctor who cares .

The stents this doctor put in caused my wife severe pain and they failed the next day so she had to get tubes put directly into her kidneys. This doctor refused to remove the stents that were causing the pain (he said they don't cause pain) and it began major inflammation problems with my wife and she had to start taking a lot of pain medicine. By the time the doctor took the failed stents out my wife was on a quick trip to her death which they blame on cancer. My wife and I know her death was caused by the inflammation from the stents and the pain medicine she had to take which cause a snowball of issues. She never even got to start cancer treatment because the problems the failed stents created. They do a nice job of hurrying the death along and keeping you from having any recourse though. Thanks a lot Doc. my lovely wife and lifelong companion and mother of our 4 children who I had been married to for 21 years died at age 40. If this doctor had removed the stents when they failed… then my wife would still be alive attempting to fight cancer. This guy took away that option so he wouldn't have to work on a weekend!
