People over 55 not accepted

After waiting 2+ weeks for my appointment, I received a call one day before that per Dr. Harris’ patient’s protocol he does not accept patients over 55. He was recommended to me by another doctor in the group. Disappointing.

Dr. Harris refuses to communicate

My daughter went in to see Dr. Harris about some hip issues. She is a ballerina, and trains 8-10 hours a day, 6 days a week. He seemed to be very professional and knowledgeable during our visit. But only then. When I attempted to make follow-up calls with questions regarding further treatment and some advice regarding having an MRI done, as the ballet was urging, I would never get my calls or emails returned. After an MRI, he would not return calls to discuss the results or possible treatment. We only recently discovered that he went in and "updated" her MRI results to indicate labral tears. He did this five weeks ago, and never called or emailed us with this news. My daughter has been suffering in pain for months, and this knowledge is essential in pursuing proper treatment. We are not the only parents at the ballet with this concern. Dr. Harris will not give you the time of day if you do not pay for an in-office visit. DO NOT take your child to see him. Especially if they are aspiring professional athletes or performers.

Sooooo devastated with my experience

An experience from proverbial you know where.. There is NOTHING positive I can report. I called to see a Doctor about my ACL issue. I was scheduled with a knee replacement Doctor within the Methodist Group. So I see the PA with Dr. Harris. The diagnosis was confirmed per the MRI..... a torn ACL, which was confirmed through a different independent surgeon. So a surgery date was set up. I completed my blood work, ekg, and did many prehabs prior to surgery. Spent many hundreds/thousands of money. Surgery was 2 days away. I get a call saying that the Dr. wanted to see me as he hadn't seen me yet. He cancelled the surgery saying there was nothing wrong with my ACL. In sum, I had been conferring with the horses end (the PA) instead of the horses head (the Dr.) What's wrong with ethics here? Fast forward........after conferring with the Methodist Orthopaedist Administrator, I was referred to the chief surgeon for the Astros who is the senior most well respected Orthopaedic surgeon in Houston (name withheld on purpose). Well, not only do I have a torn meniscus, but an 80% torn ACL....(upon review of the MRI together) What's most frustrating is that my employer knowing that this Dr. Harris' office had authored and predicated the surgery date, (mentioned above), threw me a going away party and took up donations. I was told see you after surgery! (About 3-6 weeks later). Talk about utter humiliation. Well the humiliation is that this Dr. cannot even run his own staff and internal business effectively, and his diagnosis (opinion) is so way off the Astros Doctor's and the first referring Dr. that it's embarrassing to him. We'll see what happens going forward but I promise you a complaint will be filed. I am also signing my name below because I'm not afraid of the truth.
