Dr. Joshua Maier Hurwitz, MD

I don't think I can write a more accurate review than the previous post (from Nov 7 2023). Dr. Hurwitz has a fragile ego and thinks he's god's greatest gift on earth. He treats women like they're a burden and we should all just shut up and blindly do whatever he says without a question. Just an all around jerk who should very much be in a different line of work.

Honestly not sure where the positive reviews are coming from. This is not a good person or a good doctor. If he doesn't know the answer to a question, his fragile ego prevents him from saying so, and he gets irate that the question was broached to begin with. He makes unprofessional jokes, sexual in nature, after a first meeting. If his "expertise" is questioned, and I mean in any way, a patient merely advocating for herself and double-checking a decision, he acts as though he's been burned. He was downright cruel on two occasions to me, he missed the results on an important test, honestly considering a malpractice suit. But until then, I hope other women know there are better places out there. The office staff is similarly clueless and unkind, and the organization is sub-par. I would go so far as to say that the treatment from Dr. Hurwitz and staff bordered on inhuman and remorseless.

Stay away! This Dr is completely disrespectful and didn't care about their patient. My wife repeatedly asked to get me from right outside the door from a transfer and he wouldn't. She asked him to get me before they started and he denied. He is rude. He lies. He give zero cares about his patient. Stay far far away.

I cannot say enough about Dr. Hurwitz and the entire team at RMACT. Fertility treatments are hard and uncomfortable - not to mention physically, mentally and emotionally draining. But from the first moment you walk into that office you know that you'll be taken care of. There is this instant feeling of comfort and that everything is going to be okay. Every time I speak to anyone about my experience I tell them Dr. Hurwitz is a literal angel and so is every nurse and professional on that staff. I'm a "single mom by choice" so my journey is different from many people, though every fertility journey is different. And it took time to get here, but I will be eternally grateful to them all for not only giving me my baby, but for the way they made what could have been a terrible journey a lot less terrible. I cannot recommend this practice enough. I never thought I would say I'd miss a doctor's office, but I can say for sure I will miss them!

Dr. Hurwitz and his staff are the most amazing people we have ever encountered. They gave us hope and never allowed us to be negative, whatever we needed whenever we needed it the staff did their best so we would never stress. There is no doctor who could compare. Leaving the practice was the most emotional day because I wanted so much to continue this journey with Dr. Hurwitz and his staff.

Dr. Hire it was incredible!! He did my egg retrieval and made me feel so comfortable despite my nervousness. I highly recommend him and RMA

Dr Hurwitz is an incredible doctor. He takes time with his patients to explain everything and he is very thorough. He is very comforting with bad news and joyous with good news. The care we received at RMA was outstanding. I had another fertility doctor in Florida - I can't believe the difference between them. So happy we found him!

My husband and I have been trying to conceive for many years and had the misfortune of seeking help from another RE who made us doubt our chances of conception. I was depressed for years and felt hopeless until I heard about RMA-CT. Turns out, I suffer from PCOS and I never knew how to manage my symptoms until I was under the care of Dr. Hurwitz. He took the time to educate us on my condition and provided us with a care plan that would increase our chances of a successful IVF outcome. His whole team was cordial and helpful and showed genuine concern/interest in our journey. They never made us feel like we were asking too many questions and they would often reach out via phone or email to check in and follow up. Due to my insulin resistance, their nutritionist really got involved and gave me the tools I needed to improve my metabolic levels, which had to be managed before we started the IVF process. In a short time, my levels were normal and Dr. Hurwitz gave us the green light. As… stressful as IVF can be, the doctor and his team made it easy on us by providing detailed instructions and unlimited support. We lived 2.5 hours away from his practice but it was all worth it. I'm happy to announce that we are 12wks pregnant and expecting twins....7 years in the making and our dreams have finally come true. My husband and I highly recommend and wholeheartedly suggest that anyone with infertility issues to seek the services of RMA-CT. Their care was nothing short of a blessing and I am forever grateful for their assistance.

Dr. Hurwitz is an amazing doctor. I highly recommend him to anyone seeking fertility help.
