I've seen Dr. Gonin for more than 10 years, and she recently opened her own private practice for nephrology and internal medicine on Massachusetts Avenue in Washington DC. She also visits patients on kidney dialysis at several locations, and has privileges at local hospitals. She takes care of my kidney transplant and so many other things related to that. Dr. Gonin has saved my life, literally, several times. Like other transplant patients, I have a compromised immune system, which opens me up to illness. She's treated me for diseases I've contracted due to my work overseas in Haiti and Turkey, through several asthma episodes necessitating hospitalization, and several elective surgeries for broken bones, and knee replacements. She is really amazing - a caring and thorough doctor with a style you cannot find easily in this day and age.

Dr. G. does what years of visiting other doctors could not do...within a few months of visiting her for the first time: I am on fewer medications, my blood pressure is controlled and in acceptable ranges, and my diabetes has gone away! Dr. Gonin is an amazing doctor. The absolute best. She is a doctor's doctor. I went to her when my previous nephrologist wasn't giving me the care I needed - she is an ACE!!! If you can - get an appointmet.
